Mlem Mlem is slang for how delicious in Vietnamese and I can tell you we had a delicious time dipping everything in the Mlem Mlem Crab Sauce! Mlem Mlem Crab sauce is a combination of their Cajun Butter + Lemon Pepper + Garlic Butter! It does cost to get a side of it but it's so worth it!!! What did we order? - Crispy Chicken Wings - Soft Shell Crab Po'Boy Sandwich - 1lb Seafood Lunch Combo : 1 lb Seafood (half shrimp & clams) + Sausage + Corn + Potatoes and Choice of Sauce What impressed me the most was the Soft Shell Crab Po'Boy Sandwich which includes 2 whole soft shell crabs. Most places will give you one and slice it in half but Mlem Mlem Crab gives you TWO!!! It's perfectly battered fried in between crusty baguette with Cajun mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. It's so Mlem Mlem (DELICIOUS!) that you can't stop eating it! It is super filling and satisfying. Loved every single bite and I am okay with getting a bit messy with this Po'Boy. I heard from the restaurant that the Crispy Shrimp Po'Boy is also another customer favorite.

My fish was soo fishy . Smelled and tasty like a freezer and was salty . The food was bad - I will be calling for a complete refund .

The food was OK but nothing special. The shrimp was overcooked and the bread was a bit dry. Overall, the food was edible but nothing spectacular.

We ordered the crab bags...no complaints. The clam chowder was sour. We called them and told them. They refunded the cost. We were charged for extra items that we didn't order. I wanted the oysters that were on the menu but they didn't have any. Yes, I would go back. Neat and clean place...

I was a bit nervous based on a few of the reviews but we took a chance. The food was DELICIOUS. The service was kind, friendly, attentive and prompt. Good price. Food was fresh and well seasoned. I like that the fried shrimp wasn't overly breaded, just a bit of crisp and a lot of flavor. The shrimp boil was really good, I opted to pay a bit extra to have the beheaded, deveined, jumbo shrimp ... it was perfect. The mild house seasoning is HOT, and I like heat, so I can't imagine what the medium would've been like. Mild is just right for me. The only thing I would say to change is, either thicken up the "gumbo" by starting it with a roux, or don't call it gumbo...maybe Cajun stew or something would be more accurate. The "gumbo" was tasty, packed with shelled shrimp, shelled crawfish, nice slices of spicy Cajun sausage and veggies (trinity), BUT it was thin and missed that depth of flavor you only get from a good roux...however it was still tasty. We're coming back! It was a hit! Hopefully they'll attract more customers, the place is very roomy but we were the only party for most of our meal. I also like that they have multiple televisions for sports and news on both sides so everyone at your table can easily see a tv. I don't remember if they serve beer or any liquor.... Will check next time, but I can say a nice cold beer would go great with the meal and a game.

I live in the neighborhood next to the Mlem Mlem Seafood in Lakewood. I hadn't tried it before but like to support local businesses. I Just ordered takeout from the Lakewood Restaurant. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and Cajun Fries. The sandwich was delicious. It was really flavorful on ciabatta bread and most importantly it is a good size and filling. The Cajun fries were crispy and also very tasty. The service was friendly and accommodating. The owners have decorated the restaurant in what I would describe as a Southern Gulf Style, it is very clean and the ambiance was welcoming. If you're looking for a flavorful filling and delicious seafood dish then you won't be disappointed at this restaurant. Thanks again. I will definitely be returning.

My server was Ken, he unfortunately did not make us feel welcomed, he seemed very nervous and had a hard time hearing us either due to the music be very loud and or him just not paying attention when we were speaking to him. The restaurant is small, we were the only customers in, and they had the music booming, seating is basically sit where you'd like. The food was lacking, we ordered cajun pasta (linguini with cajun sauce), crab basket with cajun fries (deep fried crab and fries, no special sauce or suggestions for dipping) and a lunch combo #1( 1lb shrimp, 2 sausage slices, 1 small corn cob, 2 small potatoes, 2 lemon wedges), the combo came in a bag with watered down sauce absolutely no seasoning was visible, the shrimp came head and shell on(poo and all). The general statement from the dining party was, I hope this food does not get me sick. Will not be recommending or returning to this restaurant.

The nicest server greeted us (likely ownership?) and even though I was clueless what to order, my kiddo and I chose a combo and it was great. A fun activity for a weekend afternoon, and we both learned how to take apart a crawfish. Casual style and a diverse menu with pasta, rice, sandwiches. Will return.

Not on par with other Cajun seafood spots. Nothing very redeeming about any part of the experience.

We came in on a Friday night very hungry. Place is small n pretty empty. Therefore we were seated and sat sown no wait at all. We ordered a family meal and some extras. Total cost was $200 +$30 tip and it pretty much feed the three teenagers. I understand that garlic is a main component in their sauce and I do like garlic in my food but there was just an overwhelming of garlic chunks and everything. I was excited and wanted to really like the place because we live pretty close and would come often if it was good however the food overall was just mediocre service was OK and when we ordered half pound of clam because my daughter said in the first pound we ordered she found nothing but shells. The clams were finally out towards the end it seemed like the owner sell forgot to place the order in and we waited forever until we're done eating and she brought out the clam packing it to go for us. So to conclude even in the half pound of clam brought home they were mostly empty shells. At the end of the night, everyone agreed it was not that tasty and definitely not worth 200+.

My experience here was mediocre. Opted for a create-your-own bag--got a pound of shrimp, a pound of crawfish, and three corn. Unfortunately, the freshness was lacking, with the shrimp edging out the crawfish. While I'm glad I gave it a shot, a return visit might not be in the cards for me.

Food is excellent, so is the service. Highly recommend! Price point is fair as well. So glad to have a seafood boil restaurant close to home.
