My son got the chicken and waffles, my daughter got the chocolate banana waffles, and I got the turkey club sandwich. The food was really good. Our server was also good. Only problem was that my son ordered apple juice and was served orange instead. Other than that, very good dining experience

Came here Monday with my son and parents and enjoyed this cute little restaurant. It was a bit slow in the service area but the longer we were there, the more people came in. It was very busy and they seemed to not have much staff. I definitely don't miss working in the restaurant industry. Huge apologies to the employees working for having to deal with my father being mad at every little thing and him complaining. He refused to leave a tip so I left one instead without him knowing lol. There's no reason to take it out on our servers when the delay is the kitchen and the restaurant is busy. I would love to come again to try the French Toast.

I had high hopes since my daughter had raved about her first experience here. Unfortunately, mine wasn't the same. I had the garden skillet and it was inedible except for the two scrambled eggs placed on top. The amount of seasoning salt on the dish was shocking. I had my daughter taste it just to confirm and she agreed that it could not be eaten. Our waitress graciously credited $10.00 to the $14.95 price of the meal, which I appreciated. While I am giving 4 stars because my daughter and grandson enjoyed their meals, it is unlikely that I will return.

A friend of mine wanted to meet for breakfast and was coming from Vacaville so I wanted to shorten his drive thought, Awful Annies, they have one in Lincoln. Shows you how long I haven't gone or heard Awful Annies has been in Lincoln for like 3-4 years ‍...Come to find out it is now the Waffle Shop. So parking downtown Lincoln may or may not be your favorite, but its a small older downtown and some could appreciate it or understand the parking around the restaurant is somewhat limited for parking along the restaurant or additional parking around the corner and across the street. The staff are friendly and somewhat attentive at least on coming around for refills on drinks. Everything on the menu looked great from a light to hearty filling type food. I had corned beef hash with eggs over medium, hash browns (or you choose country potatoes) and sour dough toast. My buddy had french toast, side of hash browns, and big o'slab ham. Reading this may not seem like much food, but the serving size plate is above an average plate in my opinion. Food arrived literally within 5-7 minutes, hot and ready to eat. Our ordered food did not disappoint, but unfortunately our waitress kind of did, she never came by to see how things were going or if we needed more water or coffee. The other waitresses were kind enough to always come by and offer. Honestly, we were ok with it since these other waitresses came by because the food is what was important. So, I'm not here to knock Awful Annies, but the Waffle Shop won't disappoint you and actually could save you a trip to Auburn if you're in the area of Placer/Sacramento County. Happy dining.

Quaint downtown Lincoln - Husband had their Huevos Rancheros and I had their Corn Beef Hash. Both were fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. Excellent service and value. A gem!

We love our brunches at The Waffle Shop in the downtown historical district of Lincoln! Talk about a Hallmark Movie setting... Wow! The food is always so delicious, the vibe is awesome and the service is always spectacular too! A special shout out to our waitress, Christine who loves to go the extra mile!

The positives are definitely Food was amazing. The service was extremely friendly and a joy to be around. The atmosphere was exactly what you want in a breakfast diner. The negatives are the servers need more help and support running food. Even large serving trays would be better than 5 trips for 3 people’s food. I would have given 5 stars based on the kindness of the staff and the delicious food, but managment has to take the lack of support for the staff and the biggest upset was no changing table for my baby. What am I supposed to do get on the floor? Change her in the dinning area? It’s rude and inconsiderate to families.
