The sandwich was just ok. I was hoping this was a legit deli but meh. I ordered on the phone, and when I walked in to pick it up, the smell of bathroom overflow invaded my nostrils. I forgot about that. I had been there a couple of years ago, and remembered the overwhelming sewer backup smell when walking in. No wonder they have outdoor seating. Seems like something a business would get right on a problem like that. Since it was the second time there, and the second time going there... The smell instantly makes me think about hygiene. It's a no-go for me now.

Ordered three sandwiches online for pickup and ended up paying almost $60. If you're looking for a deli, this isn't it- our sandwiches were all served hot (why do sandwich places do this? Deli meat is supposed to be cold) and the ambiance is more of a restaurant. It easily very confusing when I entered, although the staff was very nice and welcoming. Sandwiches had too much meat in them for any of us to fit in our mouths- we didn't bother with the second halves. Unfortunately I don't think I will be returning, the first impression was so bad and I cannot justify $30 sandwiches.

Always worth a meal here. This little restaurant deserves a good review. The serve staff as well as the other restaurant staff are always great at delivering tasty food. Their sandwiches are gigantic and worth every penny. My husband and I always split one.

Monster sandwiches to which there are no more equals. There used to be a few great sandwich places in the Bay Area, and this is one of the few that remain. Best enjoyed with a nap afterwards, get one today and thank me later.

My only complaint is its a little pricey but it's completely worth it. I just ordered delivery and asked them to leave it at my door because I have 2 crazy dogs and they threw in a couple pieces of bacon labeled "for the pups". That was very nice of them and I'm forever grateful. Best sandwiches/Italian food in the bay area and it's not even close. Service is somehow even better. 15/10 would recommend
