very under rated. Excellent fettuccini with shrimp, very friendly staff.I thought this was in downtown livermore but realized it's location, which took me back a bit, but then when the food came out I was so impressed that I'll now go out of my way to eat here!

This is a really good place for lunch or dinner. The food ingredients are fresh and very well made. The fries, OMG, crispy on the outsizde and not greasy at all! But the onion rings are superb!! I had the chicken sandwich, the bread was freah, and filled full. Hubby’s pulled pork was very full also. I could only eat half my sandwich as I filled up on the fries and 2 onion rings, check photo! My second time here and a very pleasant place to dine.

my husband and i came to this place because the food looks good online & the reviews were pretty good. if i can describe the two dishes my husband and i chose in one word it would be, FLAVORLESS. He chose the huevos rancheros and i chose the chilaquiles. literally no flavor at all and super dry for $18 no way this is what i'm paying for for this meal. look at the chicken it's so so dry and gross i literally could not eat anymore this place is not good at all. it fills u up in a few bites and makes u feel gross after eating. even their water tasted like coffee. it's like if they gave us water straight from their coffee machine. this place is CATFISH the only positive review i would give is the service was good.

Great food (forgot to take pics )I had the 3 Tacos (steak, chicken & carnitas), hubby had a Calafia burger with HUGE onion rings. Everything was delicious & cooked to perfection. Restaurant & bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Bonus : Happy Hour every night from 2pm to closing. Our server turned out to be the owner, Paula. She was extremely nice and shared the story explaining the meaning of the restaurants name. Definitely will be back. Need to try the breakfast next!

I hate so say this but this is the worst restaurant I've had in a very long time. My husband and I came here with my brother and his wife for lunch on New Years based on the reviews. A couple things: they took a very long time to take our order. I didn't know it would be difficult to mess up onion rings or tacos but they managed to both. Nobody at the table even enjoyed their food. The meat didn't taste fresh, the seafood didn't taste fresh either. The onion rings were really just not fried long enough. The onion inside was still very crunchy, it's supposed to soften as you fry, ths was for the table and not one person liked them. I'm not sure if they were just off their game or if the meat was sitting out too long but I definitely won't be back. I will say they were nice , but they would need to improve drastically for me to return.

Welcoming service and casual atmosphere. We ordered the steak sandwich with onion rings and three tacos (shrimp, fish, and steak). The sandwich was huge!

Calafia Kitchen is a gem in Livermore! The food is fantastic, among the best in the area. The ambience is delightful, and the staff is incredibly friendly. This has become my go-to spot for both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend!

The innovative combination of flavors and unique interpretations of things like huovos rancheros -- which were very different from the conventional -- made the food a real treat. Prices were on the high side for more conventional items, such as omelettes, and the venue is small and noisy, however.

Calafia Kitchen is absolutely outstanding! The taste here is unparalleled, and their café de olla in Livermore is the best I've had. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the gourmet plates elevate the dining experience. This marks my second visit, and every taste is truly next level. ???️

Excellent casual restaurant, family own, friendly service, breakfast all day long. Great when traveling solo, for a couple of for business lunch. It’s also very good food as a reasonable price.

I didn't know what to expect, but I got a fantastic Thai beef salad. The meat was cooked to perfection the way I requested. And the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Service was quite attentive, and I would definitely go back again.Someone else at a table, got the onion rings which were crispy and the coating was also quite tasty
