We had the BEST experience at McGrail Winery yesterday! Joy and Paige were excellent hosts! The wines were fantastic, the setting was lovely, and we felt very spoiled by the excellent hospitality! It was such a bonus to be able to bring our cheese and crackers in to the tasting room so that we could enjoy the wines with food! Our hosts were knowledgeable and friendly, and made us feel very at home in the family owned winery! McGrail is high on my recommendation and must visit again list!

Beautiful property and delicious wine. The barrel room and patio are massive so I'm sure this winery can get busy by the wine is very good and they have all kinds of jams, dressings and oils from local vendors on sale.

Great view and decent wines. If you like Cabelnet Sauvignon, this is the good place to compare various products in one of the tasting course. Delis are available.

Upon entering we were told standing room at bar only. Ok, we didn't make reservations so fair. As we approached the bar the attendant said we could take a table to right of the entrance as it was open seating. Great! No, the host shut that down real quick and not so nicely. Ok, back to the bar. It was pretty packed but the attendants did stay on top of things. Tastings we're priced a little high at $35 and they only waive with 3 bottle purchase which isn't in writing anywhere, or explained. Wines were also a little on the pricier side. Still purchased some wine but may not come back based on experience, there are other places to try.

They have indoor and outdoor seating areas, the view in the outdoor seating is gorgeous, and the wine tasting experience is awesome.

Wonderful ambiance and atmosphere..Came to the members pick up even today. Enjoyed the wine tasting and sitting on the patio listening to live music. The patrick James was delicious..They all were. The patriot was the second favorite. There wasn't a wine there I did not like

I had private party at McGrail winery in early August and the venue did its magic at the party that everyone still remembers. Lisa & her team did fabulous job helping with the event. We had small issue at the party, but the way crew handled it, we did not even realize that there was an issue. Also as winery allowed outside caterer of our choice, it was very helpful for us. And needless to say, cold white wines started the party well on sunny day and we ended with reds by the night, everyone enjoyed the selections. I highly recommend this place if you want to remember the special moment you are celebrating.

What a great experience. We have lived in Danville for 25 years and only recently decided to try Livermore wine. What a mistake to wait so long. We visited McGrails last night. Gayle sold us a fine bottle of Cabernet and Lavender Fields was the band that accented the beauty of this place. Bravo!

I discovered this place off Yelp and Tock for wineries in Livermore. This winery definitely attracts more customers than another local spot I visited today. We were greeted with a complimentary taste of their sauvignon blanc as walk-in tasters. They offered $20 for basic tasting and $35 for the elevated tastings with their famous cabs. My fiance and I had one of each and we both enjoyed the cabs more! Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The outside tables were close together so it can get a little noisy, but not too chaotic.
