Finally got to try this place for the first time, definitely lived up to all the great reviews and recommendations. It's been hard to get a reservation, but definitely worth the trip.

I don’t get it. The food was gross. I ordered the pork. Funny story is that I couldn’t find it between all the breading. I think the spicy sauce is given to deter you. The side dish was so so bitter I wonder if anyone had ever tried to palate it beforehand. I also had something else that was bitter as an appetizer, needless to say, my mouth does a strange thing when mentioning Range Life. Now my husband, He ordered a flat iron steak. It was definitely not! We both left half a meal there. by the way the staff SHOULD wear uniforms. I have been there several times. In the beginning it was great! Over time there has been a slow decline in quality and pairings. The staff is distracting and my husband and I had a good laugh at the dance of who was staff and who wasn’t. In the end it was money well spent

I will not recommend Range Life. I had 7 pm reservations for my birthday, after waiting around for 40 minutes, we were finally seated, I understand it’s not their fault that the people at the table did not leave but doesn’t make my whole experience any better. I’ve been to many nice restaurants and I felt this was not acceptable… I will not go back and will definitely not recommend restaurant to any one.

Fancy farm-to-table food. Service was very good, sometimes I felt like the waitress check in with us too much. The food was delicious, the portion is ok. Good enough not to feel hungry.

What a great evening at Range Life. We were so well cared for. We sat on the patio on a cold night, heaters and blankets were generously provided. The food was amazing.

Livermore is lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in our own backyard. We absolutely love this place. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly and very attentive. A wonderful date night or place with a few close friends. I can't wait to go back.

I do not even know where to begin. This was my first time eating here, and it did not disappoint. Let me start by saying PLEASE DO NOT let the outside dissuade you from going. The inside is small but quaint. For me, it's the perfect size. The atmosphere is mellow and easy going. Our waitress, Laura was AMAZING!! She was knowledgeable about the menu. She was giddy talking about the menu. She was excited to get our opinion of the food. THE FOOD!!!! Sweet Jesus alive. The best was the blackened cod & beef tartare. All of the food was seasoned to perfection. That cod literally melted in your mouth. The beef tartare, you never knew it was raw. So DAMN GOOD!!!! The drinks ‍‍‍‍ - nuff said This is my new go to place!

BIRTHDAY GIFT CARD DINNERAbout two months ago was my birthday. My sister and her husband gave me gift card for Range Life, which I had never visited before. I finally had the opportunity to come here Monday night for dinner. Most of the time when I go to a new restaurant I take my time in deciding what to order, but that was not the case with my experience at Range Life. Before coming here I looked at the menu online and I knew what I wanted to order. I was informed by my server Laura that the menu changes daily. When I got the menu I was happy to see the items I wanted were available. The items I ordered were the bread with butter, heirloom tomatoes, and lamb rib chop.At restaurants I am a sucker for bread, which most of the time are available for free. I decided to order the bread as a snack because it came butter. Even though the bread wasn't warm the butter was soft. The bread was a nice snack to start with as it wasn't too filling. For appetizer I ordered heirloom tomatoes because this past summer I ordered heirloom tomatoes for dinner at Vegas. l loved the heirloom tomatoes I ate at Vegas because they had a fruity taste. At Range Life the heirloom tomatoes came with mozzarella, which made this dish looked like caprese salad. Even though I enjoyed the mozzarella I was slightly disappointed with heirloom tomatoes dish. The tomatoes tasted too tarty. Also this dish was too salty. At any restaurant the main entree is what brings people to eat. I was waiting in anticipation how the lamb rib chop would taste. I've eaten lamp chops at restaurants where was the distinct lamb texture. However at Range Life the lamb rib chop tasted like pork chop. There was no gamey taste. With the vegetables this was a hearty dish. The lamb rib chop at Range Life could be in the running for the best lamb chop I ever ate at a restaurant. After three items I wasn't full so I decided to order dessert. I was deciding between the milk and honey ice cream or the churros. I even asked my server what she would recommend. At the end I decided the milk and honey ice cream because I can get churros at sport events or amusement parks. The one thing I didn't know what to expect was how olive oil would accentuate an ice cream. I also liked the honeycomb on this ice cream dish. The burnt honeycomb added a salt-sweet taste to the ice cream.Overall I had a nice belated birthday dinner last Monday night. I enjoyed three of the four dishes I ordered. Even though I didn't enjoy the heirloom tomatoes I don't regret ordering it as the other appetizers didn't entice me. In terms of the service I thought having Happy Birthday typed on the menu was cool. I also liked how a candle was inserted into the ice cream. I am also glad when the ice cream was given to me my server didn't sing Happy Birthday to me as I would've felt embarrassed. Where Range Life is located parking is hard to find, but if there is a new dish on the menu that looks appealing I'm willing to come here again for dinner.

I can't believe we slept on this place for so long! One trip made it our new date night favorite. The food is exquisite, the service is exceptional, the atmosphere is great. We especially love their back patio. We usually order at least two snacks, two apps and two entrees and then just take home the leftovers. ? It's a rotating menu and we're always excited to try what new things they've created. Reservations are recommended but they do accept walk-ins when they can accommodate so try them first!

Very nice farm to table restaurant. I liked the atmosphere and ambiance. Cocktails were very very good. Tried the stuffed summer peppers with coppa, and the eggplant with flatbread. I’d go back only for the flatbread… it was amazing. We tried chicken and lamb. The lamb leg was mildly undercooked, but the chicken was spectacular. Overall good experience and would recommend.
