Ordered the tempura udon and chicken karage. The chicken karage had more bread than chicken. The tempura pieces were stale depending on the vegetable you got with it. Chewy and tough to eat but I powered through it. Prices were on the high side as well...not sure why the food wasn't great at all.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, Livermore. Roppogi is a haven for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an inviting ambiance. What we had...Uni Our culinary adventure began with a delicate plate of uni. Very fresh and buttery! Uni lovers—this dish is a must-try! They are pretty generous with the amount of Uni on the sushi.Sushi/Sashimi Platter: The sushi platter was a work of art. Each piece was meticulously crafted, showcasing the freshest fish and vibrant ingredients. I had to ask if the sushi chef was the owner cause you just can tell if their heart was put into their dish.***Seafood (momo)Salad: A refreshing medley of crisp greens, sashimi, and tender octopus—this salad was a symphony of textures. The tangy dressing with a hint of spice tied it all together beautifully.Shrimp Tempura: Crispy fried to perfection.Garlic Edamame: edamame was perfect with our beer and sake. Staff exudes warmth and hospitality. We were driving from LA to SF and we are definitely stopping by Roppongi again.I've been to many Japanese restaurants but this is definitely a hidden gem in Livermore.

Not only the best sushi in town but the best we’ve ever had. Everything is always fresh and beautifully made. Prices are worth it! My daughter loves the dragon roll and I always get the fried California roll. The tempura dipping sauce is SO good and we always ask for extra for dipping. We love their tempura platter but because we almost always order through doordash we only order it when we are dining in. You won’t be disappointed. Again, prices are worth it!!!

Not a bad Sushi joint in the heart of downtown Livermore. Where things go south, is they've priced themselves completely out of the market, for the quality, portion, selection.$63.00 for 2 rolls and an appetizer Salmon sashimi. I know inflation was tough, but these guys are abusing the current market trends.

Plenty parking out back.Loved the outdoor seating. Good for people watching but also great for kids who need to fidget.Kids box- loved that their kids' meal came with gyoza, miso soup, rice, veggie tempura, and chicken teriyaki. My kid couldn't finish it so we helped him.Baked scallop- rich, creamy, mildly sweet. Pretty comparable to others I've hadGeisha- would've liked it more if it were spicier.

I had heard good things about this restaurant and was looking forward to eating here. They had a lot of outside dining, but it was a little chilly outside, so we decided to go inside. Small and casual. Decided to take the front window seat. Big mistake... they place their to go and food delivery items next to the table. A lot of paper bag noises and movement while your eating. They should put it by the entrance instead.Food and service was very good. Won't go back unless the weather is nice and we can sit outside.

Little bit cramped, but good quality sushi. Large variety of tasty sushi rolls. I highly recommend the bento options for a variety. Can be super busy during peak hours, but they also to take out.

The sushi here is good for the area, but their service is horrible. Multiple times I've ordered take out, got there at the time I was told and then I was made to wait an extra 20 minutes for my food.

Sushi was delicious here, and the rolls were generously sized. I only got one and was filled up! Roppongi feels like a classic sushi spot - small restaurant atmosphere, quick service, tons of options, and super fresh fish. Was a little pricey, but I was expecting that given te downtown location. Would definitely return!
