breakfast was very good. I aways order my eggs over medium, came out perfect, only the cook to do that since I ate at tino's in Marina before the shut down. Our waiter was fantastic, didn't get his name. looking forward to many more good meals at this place

The food was okay, my gyro had way to much sauce on top of it when I went to take a bite out of it I got a mouth full of sauce or dip whatever they put on it it tasted like a spinich dip I had to spit it out on my plate. The Service was terrible, Alijandra our waitress was rude as always it's the same waitress , she was impatient, didn't refile our coffee , when I asked her for ketchup a second time she was acting like she didn't hear or acknowledge me and said I hear you rudely, when my husband was ordering she acted very impatient throughout taking our order and through a mini fit and exhaled loudly like she was fed up with taking our order . We've never given this waitress a hard time or have been rude to her she jus approaches us with a negative unwelcoming vibe.

Really a nice restaurant... very friendly staff and good food. I had the chicken Cesar and my husband the Ruben. Both very good!! Will definitely make this our lunch stop when we travel thru.

Stopped in for breakfast. The service was amazing, every employee was friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food was I had the bacon/avocado burrito and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Keep up the great job! Thank you.

WOW!!! They renovated inside and it looks great. Always great food, really good small town customer service and easy to get in because the place is huge inside. Looks so much better inside. Was really surprised to see this today.

I was sorely disappointed by the new owners vision of this classic diner. It was turned from a cute family country diner to a smaller updated,zero country decor stale restaurant. While the staff still were great, the food was not. Hash browns were mushy inside, eggs were overdone. The counter dining was in the back of the diner which is very inconvenient for the old timers. Reminded me of a cafeteria. Also, the original location is going to be a store(?). I hope they have lots of funds cause I don't believe the regulars are gonna be back. Sad, cause I loved the previous owners. No way should the new owners have been able to keep the name cause it doesn't reflect them. Will NEVER go back.

Wow! What a hidden gem. We drive past and see George's sign on Highway 88. For my birthday this weekend, my husband said let's go and try it. It was Sunday around 2:10 pm. Large parking lot as they are located in a shopping center. Their current hours are daily from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.We were greeted by George and his wonderful smile! He has had his restaurant for over 50 years now. What a great guy. He was so nice and friendly and assured us to not worry that they closed at 2:30 pm we could stay as long as needed. I ordered a patty melt and steak fries. And of course coffee! lol My husband ordered the fried shrimp and mashed potatoes/gravy. This comes with steamed veggies. We ordered a side of garlic bread and the beef soup. And of course...hot chocolate with whipped cream.Service came quick! There were only a couple of tables since it was close to closing, and a regular came in so it was nice to see someone treated special.My patty melt was delicious and I love the creamy steak fries. The sandwich comes on rye bread with cheese, classic! My husband enjoyed the shrimp and the mashed potatoes and gravy had a great flavor. He loved how the veggies had been warmed up on the flat top, delicious!If you are there and the beef soup is on the meni, GET IT! Wow, we should have ordered one to go.Now let's talk service..... Thank you Marisa! I can't tell who had a bigger smile, Marisa or George. She was amazing, professional, friendly, helpful, just a delight! All together the bill came to $49. Very reasonable for how you are treated, quantity of food and flavor. Also they have clean restrooms.We will be coming back, would love to know what days they have the beef soup! lolThank you again Marisa and George, you are delightful.

The waitress was very helpful and enthusiastic about the menu items. The philly cheesesteak was good. The plates going to other diners had huge portions and very fresh looking vegetables. The restaurant was clean. It was a bit confusing as the sign said country cafe, but the menu was for George bar and grill.

When in Lockeford! Great place to stop in for a bite to eat. We were in town buying sausage and decided to stop here. Glad we did, the waitress was super friendly and recommended the special -chili verde omelette. I got that and my hubby got the chicken fried steak, the waitress said he could add gravy to the biscuit that comes with it, it was only like 1.50 extra. The food was excellent! The chili verde was on point, with plenty of pork and no fatty pieces. We even got to meet George himself! He was running some of the front, nice to see an owner involved in his restaurant. We will be back, I'd like to try the lunch menu! By the way...best diet coke!!!
