Was craving a really healthy delicious salad and Gypsy Bistro had just what we were looking for. The crab cakes were so delicious as well. I couldn’t stop eating my husband grits made from polenta! Yummy!Jenny was our server and she was amazing!

I have mixed feelings about this establishment. The food is good but pricing is very high for what you get. I ordered a mixed seafood dish from the specials menu. It was expensive at $38 and I asked what was in it. When I heard scallops I thought what the hell, I'll get it. Scallops aren't cheap. But it came without scallops and about 3 small pieces of salmon (size of 50cent piece) and about 4 shrimp. And a very small helping of rissoto. It was very tasty but a very very skimpy helping. And no scallops. The server apologized as she said she must have misheard the chef when the specials were being described. I definitely won't be going back.

The flavors are outstanding. The house salad was nothing to brag about, but the shrimp and grits plate was an A+. Not sure if it was sherri based wine sauce, but the flavor was a 10/10. We also ordered the mushroom burger. It was perfectly cooked, the sauce and onions combined with the mushrooms were worth returning for, and we will. Honest opinion regarding value... the market price for steak was a little high, but the burgers were priced below what i expected based on the quality. The specialty dishes are priced on the average to high side. Bottom line, i will return. Its more of a date night than a family night experience. Excited to try some of the other dishes.

Cute little spot, it's a very small restaurant which makes it more intimate- it's inside of a cement wine tank- pretty cool! My boyfriend got a steak, really yummy and loved the polenta and green beans! I got the shrimp scampi, it was ok. But I am totally willing to give this place another go round. The service was great and it was such a cool location... in the summer it looks like the patio is open would be really pretty.

The GGB burger was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The drinks were great. The noise wasn't too bad, it echos a lot in the dining room, but it isn't terrible. My only issue with ambiance; there was an odd smell in the dining area. It was almost like a sink drain was backed up. Not the worst, just a little noticeable. The bathroom was about 80 yards away from the dining area, in an entirely different building. Little different, but I was kind of surprised. Overall, we will definitely go back.
We went for an early New Years dinner with friends. We have dined here many times. Friends got the bolognese and a filet, we got the salmon and macaroni and cheese. Food was fresh and amazing. Service as always was great, dining room(tank room) was very comfortable. My absolute favourite place to dine any time of the year!

Walking in I noticed the waiters and waitresses were to say the least dressed down. Next when ordering, multiple items on the menu were out of stock. The steaks were “market priced” but we weren’t told the price when we asked. Almost positive that our bottle of wine was boxed wine. We noticed two boxes of boxed wine in the kitchen and our cork didn’t have any hole or mark. Our ribeye was overcooked. Overall price was too high for boxed wine and subpar food. Will not be returning for future business and they should be embarrassed to put up the front of a luxurious restaurant.

I had the Halibut, but it was a special of the day, so it might not always be available. It was fantastic. Jenny was amazing and very attentive. The building is small, quaint, and inviting. A very friendly atmosphere that makes you feel welcome.

It is with a heavy heart I give this place a 5 star review. I have struggled with this review since this is our 3rd visit and everything was Amazing!! I don’t want to find a packed restaurant when I want to visit. Having said that, it’s selfish to not give credit where credit is due. I want this place to not only survive but thrive! It is one of the BEST local restaurants we have been too!
