Was very disappointed in our experience with Block 21. I planned a whole wine tasting experience in Lodi for my Dad’s 70th birthday. We got a party bus and planned to go to three different wineries. Block 21 was supposed to be our last stop. I called and confirmed our time for 3:50 p.m. and party size of around 28 over two weeks before and was told they could definitely accommodate. They gave me a call the day before to give me a heads up about the weather since it would probably be raining. They let me know that it could get crowded if the outdoor was closed and that I should give them a call a little bit before we come to make sure there was enough space. I was a little confused since I thought our party/space was reserved but there wasn’t much I could do besides hope for the best since it was the day before. We ended up running a little late and I gave them a call at 3:46 and said we were running a little late and should be heading over soon. I asked if that was ok or a problem and I was assured that it was no problem at all and just that their last pour was at 4:45. I said that’s perfect and we’ll see them soon. I’m not sure of the exact time we showed up but I think it was around 4:15 p.m. immediately we were met with a woman telling someone in our party that we could only get one pour or had to sit outside (I wasn’t inside yet so I’m not exactly sure what was said). I immediately go inside and talk to a woman who tells us because of our party size, that we would be their last pour and that after that we would have to buy bottles. I was confused because I was clearly told on the phone that last pour was at 4:45 p.m. and she never mentioned that we would only get one pour and she knew my reservation size. The woman then tells us if we buy bottles we are welcome to stay until 5:30 p.m. so we would have time to finish. I told her that was fine and we bought 6 bottles. The whole time we were there we did not feel welcome. They pretty much ignored us and just looked at us like they wanted us to leave. I’m not sure if it’s because we showed up late or our group size but they were fully aware of both of these details before we came in (and it actually ended up being only 23 people). We all really enjoyed our second stop (shout out to Peltier and their lovely customer service!!! Please check them out!) and would have much rather stayed there then to have been mislead! As we’re enjoying our 6 bottles the woman comes up to us around 5:05 p.m. and tells us that they are closing up and we need to leave. I asked “I thought we were able to stay until 5:30?” And she just dryly responds, “Well they want to close.” We hadn’t even finished our bottles, but we got up and left. It really just felt like they got their sale and were done with us. Some people went to the bathroom and after on the way past just saw the staff sitting and drinking inside. Confirming our feelings that they just wanted the sale and didn’t care after that. The whole experience felt extremely unwelcoming and misleading. I wish they would’ve just told me the truth on the phone because we would’ve just stayed at Peltier or even from the beginning gone with another winery that could properly accommodate our size but instead they so sounded friendly, inviting, and accommodating on the phone and completely switched up when we arrived. Unfortunately, it was our last stop and just left a sour taste to my dad’s celebration.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Block 21. We brought catered food and enjoyed wine on the patio. It was beautiful, relaxing and so easy!

Our first time here and we had no reservations. The winemaker and his wife were pouring and were super accommodating even though they were busy! we enjoyed their wines and the descriptions on each one of them. A great variety and the taste was typical of Lodi. We walked out with our purchase knowing we will be back for sure.

Came here for the first time on Saturday. We've been to almost all the wineries in the Lodi area. Customer service is a huge thing for me when writing a review. They weren't rude but they also did not make us feel welcome. We won't be coming back. The wines are not what we expected.

A must visit in any Lodi wine tour. Any tasting you do must include their Symphony, I am not a big white wine drinker, but it's the best I have had.The outdoor seating is surrounded by the vines with an outstanding staff, it will be an enjoyable experience for any wine lover.

Incredible family. Incredible winery. The passion they have for their craft is felt and tasted alike, and the generations of experience that this family has toiling the soil is simply a thing of beauty.

We came here with another couple after just going to Oak Farm and actually prefer this place. Reasonable tasting fee and servers were very friendly. Picked up couple of bottles and will be back

Matt and Evonne are some of my dearest friends. I have experience harvesting grapes with them back in 2001. They are hard workers true to family, friends and their community. Their winery is lovely, but it’s the service that brings people back.

Love this place! Enjoyed their symphony and Sauvignon Blanc. Grounds are beautiful, love the outdoor sitting area and the inside tasting room had such a cozy feel. Family owned, and the sweetest people, made me feel so welcomed. I highly recommend checking out this gem, will definitely be back.

We went here for our first tasting with a group of 5. We were immediately met with the staff who were friendly and inviting. They immediately offered to sit us outside or taste inside. We chose the beautiful back patio where the view of the vineyard was gorgeous. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. For a relaxing wine tasting and a beautiful venue, we highly recommend Block 21

Went for the first time over Fourth of July weekend and had a great time. Enjoyed their outdoor space right up against the vineyard during our tasting, and took home a bottle of their syrah and chard. Would recommend!
