Delish breakfast - Two eggs over easy, perfectly cooked bacon just barely crispy on eggs but still tender, awesome apricot jam for my toast! Pam was efficient and provided great customer service! Coffee is strong just like it should be! Ish was great on griddle! Thank you for a lovely country breakfast!

I walked in and placed a to go breakfast order. It took 25 minutes for a 2 egg breakfast. After waiting 20 minutes for my order, I asked how much longer and was told, "I don't know, I don't know." When I got in my car to check my order- it was wrong. The toast was cold and hard. I ordered OM eggs, they were over easy. Sausage order was wrong as well. I'm disappointed for 2 reasons. I heard nothing but good things about Mel's. I paid almost $16 for a wrong order that I waited 25 minutes for.

Melissa is new co-owner, you have probably heard of her. Mel's Dive In is her business name. Food here is amazing, all homemade! She is a fabulous cook. Establishment is very clean, great service too. Andrea (Annie) is a server there, she is very experienced and always provides exceptional customer service. No waiting around for coffee or water refills :)We always ask or wait for her. Melissa has done such a great job with the with everything getting set up from her previous location near the truck stop. This place is a must try!!! Quality, portions and service will not disappoint, I promise!!!*Top notch chicken fries steak by the way, its HUGE!!!

First of all. This place is NOT closed. Secondly, this place serves 100% legit breakfast! Hands down one of the best, if not the best, chicken fried steak (cfs) I have ever put in my mouth. You know how some Cfs are extremely "bready" and wonder if there is even a piece of steak in the middle? Well, here we have no questions, the steak is thick and delicious. Wife ordered the mushroom and swiss omelette, she confirms it is good! We also ordered the Biscuits and gravy and yes, it did not disappoint. The price is a little steep but definitely worth it! The wait time was also quite long but again well worth the wait! Our server was super pleasant and did a perfect job despite her being super busy. The kitchen, perfect! Thank you!!

My husband and I used to come here when it was the omelets house. We decided to go back under village a coffee. Staff was nice and food was good felt homemade. I am assuming owner and his family came in because after that staff seemed like there was tension. Owners were not friendly. I'm fact we're felt uncomfortable too and decided leave. Not sure what population of ppl they would prefer in their restaurant maybe we weren't. Didn't not feel welcomed. I think this restaurant has lots of potential. Hopefully they are more welcoming with all ppl in the future.

Was in town for an event and we decided to grab some lunch here to go. It was a cute little diner but the food and service were both subpar unfortunately and I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. We were in a rush and we told them right as we entered since we didn't want to order if it didn't work with our timeline. They assured us the food would come out fast and handed us some menus. We then had to wait 10 min for someone to take our order even after they said they would be right with us. We decided to go for sandwiches since it would probably be faster to make, but we still waited 30 minutes for our food. As we waited I noticed that one of the cooks behind the counter was eating right next to where they were assembling food which didn't seem super sanitary to me. Anyways we finally get our food but they couldn't give us our potato wedges unless we wanted to wait 10 more minutes so we opted to just take it off the bill. Once we got back to our event and ate our food, it was just such a big let down. Every single order had something wrong with it. Like the bread choice was wrong, they added condiments we specifically said not to add, they gave us the wrong protein, they forgot the cheese... it was just bad. We also weren't given any napkins or utensils even though we got their chili cheese fries (we ended up tossing this because there was no way to eat this without it being a huge mess). Overall one of the saddest dining experiences we have had in a while.

The hashbrowns were steamed and fluffy instead of crisp and griddled, so that was weird. Worst pancake in town, very dry and crumbly. Terrible pancake syrup.

Found this placed accidentally because the restaurant across the street had a long wait for breakfast. Glad we did. This place takes you back to the old coffee shop feel when I was a kid. Service was fantastic, food came out hot and fast! Homemade jams and country style bacon with perfectly crusted French toast! Make sure you say hi to Ana who's been waiting tables there since 85!!
