This is a local gem and an obvious choice when go out for breakfast. Staff are incredible and super nice. We always enjoy our meals and their breakfast burritos are so fulfilling

This was my first time here. I came on a Monday around 10:30. They told us the wait time was about 15 min and we got seated in 5 min. The food was good and the service was fast. I will be back for lunch.

American host is the best cafe around and surely a Lompoc staple. I have been coming here since I was a little kid. Iv lived and traveled to many different places but this American cafe stays my favorite. The food is consistently delicious, the place is clean and welcoming and it has been that way for many years. Expect to wait for a table if you come on the weekend.

We enjoyed the breakfast here! Great coffee and excellent service. Be prepared to wait but it's worth it! They are not shy with the bacon which we very much appreciated. Very accommodating- we had a group of 8.

American Host is a restaurant that I always take people to when visiting. The food is like home made American dishes and always delicious whether you pick breakfast or lunch. Portions are large which I like and I get to eat the leftovers later. American Host is known for it's good food and can get busy during peak eating times but the staff works very hard to get you seated as quickly as possible. Dennis the owner is very friendly and when he's there will swing by your table to make sure everything was good. Only complaint would be that they aren't open for dinner.Parking: There is a limited amount of parking in the parking lot out front, maybe 10 parking spots. But the rear parking lot holds at least 30 spots. I've always found parking and have never needed to park on the street.
