We had planned for Melville to be our first stop on hitting a few Santa Rita Hills wineries. We never left. Tristan was our hostess and we sat in a beautiful wisteria covered pergola and had a fantastic time with family and lifelong friend on a gorgeous spring afternoon. Cannot recommend this enough.

Tried the small lot tasting which included 3 Pinot noirs with whole cluster fermentation. Very good complexity and Anna's was smoothest and savory. The estate Syrah is very good and smooth blend of 7 clones with a nice peppery finish. I was also able to taste the estate Pinot which had 17 clones blended. Nice complexity with dark fruit notes.

Lompoc, CA wineries, including Melville, are the hidden gems of the Central CA coast! I visited Melville today and spent 2+ hours relaxing on their spacious patio, sipping awesome wines and nibbling on tasty snacks from their food menu. They have expansive grounds with shaded tables under wind-proof sun umbrellas. It was sunny, 72 degrees with a light breeze - optimal weather for late summer. The tasting room manager, Nicole, spent quality time bringing me up to speed on the various aspects of this 140+ acre vineyard. Exactly one hour north of Santa Barbara, it's worth the drive.

I have driven by Melville Winery so many times and finally had the opportunity to stop in for a tasting. I opted for the Estate and it was a great variety of whites, rosé, and reds. The wines are great! I saw several fun outdoor seating areas, lots covered by pergolas or umbrellas. All the options are nestled right by the vineyards. So gorgeous. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area wine tasting!

Melville produces some of the highest quality cool climate wines in California. Their small lot and single vineyard Pinot’s stand far above the competition.Visiting their winery estate is a relaxing experience. Their staff are friendly and accommodating, and the views are to die for. Kids are welcome, they have some yard games available, and provide a tasteful appetizer menu alongside their wines.

Terrible service. Justine told me that they would stay open until 4 because we hit some traffic, although the hostess lied to me. I understand it is very help nowadays after Covid, but the rudeness is unacceptable, and should not be tolerated. Delicious wine, but don't go to this winery, their service is terrible.

We had an incredible experience at Melville! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the service was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Not only did we enjoy some fantastic wine, we also learned quite a bit about the estate and process. If you're ever visiting Santa Barbara county, make this a MUST SEE stop on your journey. You won't regret it.

The Melville Buellton Vineyard and Winery is beautiful and worth the visit for the wine and the venue. The outdoor space has many tables and chairs to relax with groups of up to 8ppl. You are surrounded by grape vines and lavender bushes. The view is just wonderful and the staff is very friendly and come out to the tables out on the grassy area. There is an indoor wine tasting space and nice interior restrooms. We sipped on a couple bottles of Rose. If you arrive after 4pm you cannot order a tasting but only a glass of wine and wine bottles. Wayne and I haven't visited in a long time and we sure are glad we made the stop before our way home. Our friends had never been there before and throughly enjoyed themselves as well!
