This was a most delightful late lunch here today in great part due to the exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant's interior is traditionally regal and cozy however we opted to eat in their spacious outside eating area on this beautiful afternoon. No regality was lost by being outside for we were in the care of Gilberto, our wonderful principle waiter. He understood our every need and pampered us like one seldom encounters in Long Beach. We began with an Old Sicilian cocktail. It's probably fortunate the photo didn't come out else I'd be shamelessly punning the caption, but most importantly it was delicious with quite a punch. The crab cake appetizer, also delicious, was followed by the best hamburger that I've ever had and that includes any produced from my kitchen (I consider that to be the highest praise). Bf gave me a taste and there is no question that I will be ordering this next time. For a special treat, Gilberto presented us with a beautiful crème brûlée. When requiring a flawless dining experience, this is perfection, They are Masters of their craft.

This place is a hidden gem in Long Beach, the waiter was spectacular very attentive, the bread was served hot and fresh, so hot you had to wait until it cool down a bit. I order the spaghetti w/shrimp, my niece order the surf and turf and the lobster with that butter sauce was delicious let me tell you.. I will be coming back the prices were reasonable and the cocktail was on point. Hope you enjoy if you go!!

If I am ranking against other steakhouses then this is a good 4 stars. You'll definitely get a great piece of meat here. The crab cake was pretty good and thick, although you'll only get 1 for $17. It's a long standing establishment in Long Beach. I heard a lot of hype about it and I think my expectations were different, is what I'll say. I like a steakhouse that is a bit more modern in decor but I can appreciate the history and vibe of 555 also. Be prepared for something on the same vibe as House of Prime Rib in SF in terms of ambience. Dark inside with low lighting. White table cloth. Lots of wood and green leather booths to sit in. It's the type of place where lawyers, business people and mostly men, dressed in white collared shirts with sweaters and suits frequent. I got the surf and turf ($82) and the lobster was amazing and my fillet mignon perfectly cooked to my liking, medium rare. This was an excellent meal and I would definitely recommend 555 for a celebratory meal, a romantic dinner date, or a girl's night out.

we were a few minutes early to our reservation, and they still had seats awaiting us. Ray was an awesome waiter, who kept things fun and relaxed, and checked in on our enjoyment throughout our visit. My date had the three way fillet mignon with different flavors and they were outstanding, while my, 8 ounce petite fillet was equal equally outstanding. Garlic mashed potatoes rocked and if my only one subtraction is the bacon was too authentic lol. It was a little tough to chew, but the rest was flawless.

Not too many steakhouses open during lunchtime but this one is so that gets it an extra star alone. Lunchtime is also very chill. Came to celebrate my cousin's birthday for a late lunch around 1:45. Hardly anyone was there so maybe a lot of people don't know it's open before 5pm. Robert was our server and he was such a cool guy. Very kind, personable and attentive. Sourdough bread was delicious. Caesar salad was very fresh! I ordered the NY strip. It could've used seasoning. I see that they had it to where you could order it with certain seasonings, but I thought it would have some seasoning on its own. Mashed potatoes were very buttery. They don't have Brussel sprouts or corn like other steak houses. They did have broccolini but I wouldn't say I would get it again. Butter cake was divine and shared amongst the table. The price for six of us was less than $400 before tip. Pretty decent, although we didn't get liquor. But still, that's good for a high end steakhouse and I would go again as I now know how to order.

I had a great atmosphere I liked the dark oak wood and we were greeted very nicely by the staff we were seated quickly because we had reservations fun music drinks were wonderful and I got the 45 day dry aged bone in rib-eye and for appetizers we got the oysters and the bread and dip and they came pretty quick wile the food was cooked. I’m 11 and this was the best steak of my life. For dessert we got the chocolate soufflé our server was really nice and gave us recommendations because this is our first time at this restaurant.

Reason for my visit was to celebrate a birthday and the reason we chose to eat here was because it was recommended from a friend. Check in was relatively smooth as we had made reservations prior. Vallet parking is available as well. The restaurant was not to full as I expected it to be as it was a weekday. Once checked in and seated water was provided. Waiter took our drink order right away. From sitting down to ordering a appetizer took about 30minutes and then another 20 minutes to actually place an entree order. We actually had to flag down the staff at least twice to let them know we were ready to order. The food, drinks, and appetizers were great a solid 10/10. I personally had a dry aged rib eye which was amazing. The drinks were perfectly mixed and the appetizers were full of flavor. The ambience was nice low lit and had some piano playing in the background. Overall food is great here just wish for the amount of money you spend that the service would reflect that as well. Overall Food 10/10 Service 6/10 Ambience 8/10

Brilliant Steak house with exceptional meats and very good oysters. The beet salad is very tasty and balanced with goat cheese. The wine list is extensive and the markup on wines is relatively reasonable. The ambiance is very warm and old school. Additionally the restaurant is busy every night so you know this is a really good place. The staff are professional and attentive.Overall a must try for steaks if you are in the area.
