We have been back to Alder & Sage restaurant that is located in the Retro Row community of Long Beach. The atmosphere is nice inside and out. The breakfast food is delicious every time. The outdoor area has many places to sit , fire pit areas and dog friendly. We will definitely go back and look forward to seeing you there. Enjoy!

I LOVE alder and sage!! One of my favorite spots in Long Beach. The avocado tartine, the short rib and polenta, the coffee, everything is always incredible. Everything is always so unique and flavorful! I love coming here when my mom visits, it’s her favorite place too. :)

We came in and ordered $30 in drinks and pastries and went to sit down at and open table. We were told those were only for lunch patrons. There were 3 tables outside and numerous inside, but we were instructed to go sit on the dirt patio in chairs that don't have a table. The server was less then friendly. Considering that it is supposed to be a welcoming inclusive environment, it was anything but. Not worth the effort.

I'm a sucker for beautiful interior and Alder&Sage definitely got me. I stopped by for a quick coffee. The baristas recommended the strawberries n cream latte because that's their most popular, so I got it. I know they were just doing their job but this drink was not it... $10 for a teensy cup. Never again. I learned my lesson. Come for brunch, forget the cafe.

Went back to visit Alder & Sage this morning. I had the Classic Breakfast again. Super delicious and the Sangria beverage was very refreshing too. The vibe is always great here. The customer service by my waiter Jessica was excellent. She's probably one of the best hospitality people I've been privileged to serve in this Industry. I work in restaurants too so when I say she's the best I really mean it. This place always deserves 5 Stars. Thank-you again Alder & Sage.
