Very good but certainly not exceptional. Ambiance is beautiful. Service is okay, and impersonal granted it was busy but still. Food certainly good but pricey and can't justify main plates being served without sides and bread.

The food was amazing, it exceeded our expectations. This will definitely stay in our restaurant rotation; our waiter Peter was awesome and made great recommendations to make our meal even better. Will be going back real soon.!!

When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff and was immediately struck by the beautiful decor of the restaurant. The ambiance was inviting and relaxing, making it the perfect place for a special occasion or a casual dinner with friends. The menu at Ammatoli offers a variety of Mediterranean and Greek dishes, all made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. I started with the hummus and pita bread, which was incredibly creamy and flavorful. For my main course, I had the lamb chops, and they were cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the flavors were out of this world. My dining companions also raved about their dishes, which included a delicious seafood pasta and a flavorful chicken souvlaki. One thing that really stood out to me was the exceptional service. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. He also checked in on us throughout the meal to ensure everything was to our liking. To top off the wonderful meal, we ordered the baklava for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our dinner. I also appreciated that the portions were generous, so we were able to share and try multiple dishes without feeling stuffed. Overall, I highly recommend Ammatoli Restaurant in Long Beach. The food, service, and ambiance are all top-notch, and it's clear that the staff takes pride in providing a memorable dining experience for their guests. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu.'

Not bad, a solid 3 star for this type of food. Other places in the city are better but require a Uber so this place is in my rotation even though it is highly priced for the value it offers.

We had just an amazing early dinner for the 6 of us. Mary was our server and was just about the best server I've ever had. She knew all of the dishes very well and recommended many items that we would never have tried on our own. The food was outstanding as well and we are waiting to bring even more friends here soon.

Mary was our waitress and went way above and beyond. She was so friendly and courteous, attentive without being intrusive. Most helpful with navigating the menu. My out of town guest was most impressed with her and everything.

Food was good and the vibe was super cute. They have no bar, only beer and wine. The food is pretty expensive for what you get. The service was subpar, wait staff should be better trained on etiquette at a fancy restaurant such as this.

Brought my sister here for dinner. The food was delicious. Our server Pete was funny and very attentive; he provided great food & wine recommendations. Each dish came out fast. You must try the Osmalieh Ice Cream dessert. It's AMAZING!

Incredible and authentic Levantinian food. Tried almost all of the menu and truly can't pick a favorite dish, they're all fire! The decor, music, and ambiance of the restaurant transport you to Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. One of the nicest and best restaurants in Long Beach.

Came to this spot for the first time last Friday on a double date ! Very cute spot for a date night or even with friends and family . It’s a cute restaurant. Luckily we made reservations because it’s very busy ! Omgosh the pita and the beef hummus and labneh ! Was my favorite ! The desserts were all so good too ! We ordered the fatoush salad and the rice - excellent ! We kept ordering pita - remember they aren’t free ! The price is a little steep but the food and the service were good so we were pleased !Parking: There’s a lot on that street

Beautiful restaurant in downtown Long Beach. It's a great place for couples on a date night, friends looking for a nicer place to dine and even if you're at the nearby Long Beach Convention Center. Staff is excellent and food is very good, just a little expensive but worth it if it’s a special occasion.Definitely try the pita bread which is so light and fluffy. The ambience is excellent as well. We will definitely come back here!

We were able to walk in for lunch and we were seated/served promptly. Everything we ate was delicious. Their pita was some of the best I’ve ever had. Really enjoyed the spicy hummus and falafels. Will definitely be back.

The service was well below average. Staff was not ready at opening and sweeping floors, cleaning, talking loudly with each other and not in any hurry to serve. The waiter was also very lax, didn't pour the water and generally did the least amount possible. The manager was also obviously indifferent and didn't help when we asked about a few menu items and the desire to be seated away from the crowded entrance. The food was good to great, but the overall experience was poor. If you get lucky and get a better service team, it could be worth a visit. Definitely insist on sitting away from the entrance. Between the front door, staff constantly running by the table between the bar and the kitchen it was super annoying and took away from experience. Ask to see the drinks or where they source them before ordering. Baklava take out was tasty. Doubtful I would return or recommend largely due to poor service. The default 22% tip was also a slap in the face.

We had a reservation for 5 at 7:15 but arrived much earlier. There were several empty 5/6 person tables but they still made us wait until our reservation time. Seems a bit of poor logistics management
