Ballast Point is not the new kid on the block when it comes to craft beers, the beers are solid but nothing trendy. The food is passable, pass on the pizza, order the calamari or nachos. And come for the views, they are gorgeous.

Always a great place to come for a beer. I usually go for the appetizer, but everything I’ve eat eaten is good.

One of my favorite places in the world. The barrel aged beers are to die for. I woke up this morning and I had the urge to go here, and I felt the need to give it a good review.

Back to this place after about a year. Wow it’s gone downhill and fast.Service was ok. No servers at the tables, have to scan and order or walk up to the bar. Very odd process.Tables and chairs are scratched and ripped, very worn.Menu is awful, terrible selection, cheap frozen food.I guess the only reason this place gets any business is because the view, it’s beautiful. I will never go back and advise others not to go.

This spot offers stunning water views, perfect for watching the sunset. They boast a variety of unique beer options to choose from. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious. However, the wings were just okay, and unfortunately, the fish was dry and bland.

My sister and I came from the East Coast to visit with an old family friend and have a good time. I had recently moved from Georgia to Tennessee and gotten a new license. My hard copy license had not arrived in the mail before we flew across the country so I had a paper copy of my license PROVIDED BY THE BMV until my hard license arrived. They refused to serve me stating they need a “physical copy” of my license. I told them this was the PHYSICAL COPY PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT. They then proceeded to tell me that the BELIEVE IT IS REAL, but were still not going to serve me. Next they told me they would need a written note from the DMV stating this was my ID until the official one came in the mail, even though on the BACK OF MY LICENSE was a note from the BMV saying it was a TEMPORARY ID UNTIL MY OFFICIAL ONE ARRIVED IN THE MAIL. Every reason she gave for them to not serve me was easily overcome… and they still refused to let me have a single drink.

Was with a group of friends, and we encountered a large cockroach in our booth. This was presented to the manager who completely disregarded it, as if he knew this was a problem and wasn’t willing to do anything about it.

Apparently, the harbor patrol rescued a sailing team, after a dis masting and grounding onto the Federal Breakwater in stormy weather. the crew members of the boat, who had all been in the water, were allowed to shelter from the rain inside the brew house to warm up. because they had no money. their phones and wallets had gone down with the boat, the brew house wouldn't serve the shivering group coffee without payment. Rhetorically, what kind of outfit, wouldn't help a group, who just went through something like this.
