One of the best in Long Beach. The food is amazing. Teriyaki chicken is incredible. Fried chicken is superb. There's always a line to get in. Portions are plentiful. It's cash only. The combo comes with an egg roll and a small drink. They're a little pricey and their drinks are kinda small but overall it's an awesome place to eat. Plenty of parking and great service.

I am struggling to give this place 1 star. First off, I didn't realize this place is cash only. That should have been a signal to turn around walk out. The ladies working there were too busy talking to each other to realize we were ready to order. We had to say something several times to get their attention. I ordered the 2 items combo of chicken and green beans and chicken with mushroom with half rice and half chow mein . This also came with an eggroll and a teeny tiny soda for $11.99 We decided to eat there. Ended up the tables were dirty we had to get napkins to wipe them down. When we opened the bag, the sodas leaked all over the place. As for the food, it was mostly chow mein and rice, Not much of the 2 main items. The food did not have much flavor adding soy sauce helped a little. The sweet and sour was more on the sour side. I ended up throwing out my leftovers, which is rare for me. This definitely was my first and last visit to China Chef Express.

Called to place an order for delivery at 7:30pm. Their website says they're open till 9:30. We were told "it's too late for delivery." Really?? The guy on the phone started making excuses and telling me his life story. Sorry. Won't be ordering from them again.

Use to like going to this place but today the food was bland and limited getting only 3 piece of chicken when before it was more. The lady told me that 3 piece is a side now. The ladies that work there carry on in conversation in their language you have to wait on them to get service. Not very friendly

I'm struggling to find a really good Chinese food place since moving to LB. This place has so many good reviews so I gave it a shot. I like the option of getting an egg roll instead of a drink because I'm a sucker for some egg rolls. I got half rice half chow mein and mushroom chicken. I feel like you don't get as much as people say that you do. I've definitely been to other locations and it's overflowing with your items and still has been decent priced. I can't comment on the inside since my mom had picked it up but she said it was very clean and well kept. She loved the food. I liked it but it wasn't my favorite. It just didn't hit the spot of what I was looking for. I liked the rice and chow mein, the mushroom chicken wasn't bad but I feel like I was just expecting more. My search will continue for that gem that wows me.

First let me start by saying FIRE The food has always been spot-on, customer service Great I appreciate the friendly service and they always have such great food. This place has been here for years I can remember when I was in middle school with no kids coming here to get a side of Chow main because my mom only gave me a few bucks, Now I have 3 kids & married and I make it a tradition every Wednesday to go here & give my support. Love this spot!!! Come check it out & tell them Albert sent you.. Spot on food highly recommend - LBC through & Through.

My family and I have been going here for years, it has been our go to place for Chinese food in Long Beach. Here are a few things I'd like to note: -this place is CASH only -lines get pretty long around dinner time, so anytime before four is when you wanna go -Pay attention to the workers when your plate is being filled. When you have order multiple plates, they can accidentally mix up your plates or give the wrong entrees. Checking your order is essential -Lately, it has been a bit more inconsistent. Some days, the food is very flavorful and other days can be really bland. No way to tell -if you get combos with no drink, they will substitute for an extra eggroll -tons of options and variety with the entrees - a few of my favorite items would have to be chop suey, fried chicken (crispy and salty), and the mushroom dish -great portion sizes, definitely enough for three meals Regardless, I always recommend this spot to my friends.

Believe me when I say you’re better off going anywhere else. The service was okay, but the food was terrible. Noodles had no flavor and orange chicken was over saturated with the sauce. Broccoli &beef were mid. You can eat like a king anywhere else, even at McDonald’s and that’s not an exaggeration. I rather go somewhere with bad customer service that serves good food.

I used to love coming here a few years back because of their fried chicken. It's very delicious but can get a bit to salty if your mouth is dry. Their choices of food selection are not bad either. Per combo, they give you a piece of egg rolls and a small soda. It's not bad for $10.50 plus tax. I ordered 2 combos, half rice and noodles plus fried chicken with kong pow chicken. Wasn't too bad. There are so many to choose from. They can get pretty busy but not that busy, dont let the line stretch from the outside fool you. Just how they set up their food stations cause people stand outside. Simple tactics to get this place looking busy if you were to drive by and saw a line from the outside. This place needs to be better by using the back space for line formation instead of storage space. Looks so unsanitary for a business that's been operating for a couple of decades now. Dont get me wrong, business doing pretty good, actually. But would be grateful if they invest something into the business to give back to the consumer. Simple upgrades wouldn't hurt. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!
