Really gone downhill. The food was awful. And the service was mediocre. This place used to be such a spot. They are not even trying. I told our waiter my fried food was delivered cold and she shrugged. Just sad.

This place has been on my list to visit for a while, finally had a night out with a friend and decided to stop here for dinner and drinks. It was a weeknight, relatively slow with a few patrons at the bar and maybe 2 other tables. The restaurant had a nice ambiance with low lighting and lots of fresh air with the doors open. We ordered drinks and waited... 10 minutes later the waiter took our appetizer order and we waited another 20 minutes until he brought our appetizer and asked if we wanted to order any more food. We ordered dinner, but were still waiting on our drinks. He said he was gonna go grab them. Took a bite of our appetizer, it was very pretty but it was stone cold. Waited approx. 15 more minutes until our drinks were delivered and until the waiter came back so we could send the appetizer back. Our dinner came out quickly along with our replacement appetizer, we barely had a chance to try the drinks and now the table was completely full of food. I guess the best part was now that we were set, we really didn't need much service, which was also convenient for the waiter because he left without telling us our table/check was being transferred. We looked around for a while so we could order more drinks but nobody walked by or even looked in our direction. The replacement appetizer (tater tots) was warm and it was really great - I'd probably come back for those as long as I can make sure they're warm first. For dinner, I got a burger and my friend got a pizza. The burger was good but due to the timing of everything coming out, us expecting to have had more drinks, we were just over the poor service so we ended up getting boxes and going back to my apartment to make our own drinks since nobody wanted to ask us if we wanted another round. Which we did, but the employees didn't seem to care about making the establishment more money on an already slow evening.

Thank you Erin for such great service and hospitality. The drinks and food were great! You made my first visit here very memorable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend coming here for some great food and drinks!

Great place to hang out. My wife and I were attending the Coastal Country Jam and we wanted to catch the game before. The drinks, appetizers & service were exceptional.

this place used to have amazing food and a unique concept, truly one of my favorite spots to grab a beer and have some top notch bar food. Their burgers used to be one of my favorites I've ever had. The fries and dipping sauces were soooo good. Brought a lot of friends here who loved it as well. Well...New ownership and food is terrible. Tried it twice and was let down twice. Congregation used to be my go to and soooo bummed to see the changes and not for the better.

This a regular spot for us but this time the service was above and beyond. The margarita flight was so good! For the price, you get practically 5 drinks. The pizza was really good too. Thanks for waiting on us Luna! You're the best! See you again!

Under new ownership. Cool spot with delicious food of the last 10 years is no more. Bigger portions of lower quality food. Basic bar food now. At least Long Beach Creamery is across the street.

Fun beer menu and some really good specials! I've been to their happy hour a few times and never been disappointed. The beer gods approve.

I was very surprised by this place! Went on a whim before heading to Cali Vibes music festival, and even though they were busy service and food was top notch! I appreciate the professionalism by the 3 staff members handling the busy time. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

First time here with some friends while visiting the beach! We were able to sit outside with our pup. Ordered the asada fries and hot wings with fries. The asada fries were okay and could've used more flavor. The hot wings were pretty good and extra saucy how I like them. The side of fries lack seasoning though so could've gone without them. The customer service was pretty good and the prices weren't too bad either. Would return! Also, got the penicillin for my cocktail and it was pretty good and fair priced!

The food is always good here no complaints there....I don't know if it is under new management or what but the service was definitely horrible. It took 15 minutes for someone to take out beer and appetizer order. We got our beers 15 minutes later and this was at 945 with hardly any customers. Then when we got our appetizer it took another 10 mins just to close out. Service just needs to get better. I understand if it was packed but it wasn't.

Food was good, got a pizza but the service was TERRIBLE!!!! Food took way too long and we had to ask for ranch twice, second time I had to leave table to ask. Server didn't check on us once. 0/5

We had dinner here recently and were disappointed that the overall quality wasn't what it once was. The service was pretty slow, and our server often forgot to bring refills. Our cousin was finishing his beer when he found a plastic tap cap at the bottom of the glass, which we found unsanitary. They took off the drink charge, but he felt weird about it being in there. The appetizers were good, but overall, not enough to bring us back again. Not sure why everything was so different now.

Clean and friendly! Calamari is off the cuff! Check this place out! Check the event page for fun to be had!

What the hell happened at Congregation Ale House! The Diablo burger used to be my favorite burger in Southern California hands-down! Now it is a store-bought Costco Patty. What the hell did you guys do?! Whoever the new owner/manager is you need to kick yourself for being cheap and cutting costs because now you've cut customers. Now I have no reason to come back here. Nice knowing you Congregation Ale House. If you ever bring back that burger, let me know. I MAY swing by to see if you guys have redeemed yourselves. Best regards, Truly Disappointed
