I ordered from El Sauz via Uber Eats to celebrate my birthday, hoping for a delightful culinary experience. However, what transpired was far from celebratory. Regrettably, both my girlfriend and I suffered from food poisoning, which we strongly suspect stemmed from the tripas we consumed.Throughout the night, we experienced severe gastrointestinal discomfort, leaving us feeling unwell and incapacitated the following day. Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that the tripas were inadequately cooked, bordering on raw. I have corroborated this with visual evidence in the form of a video and attached images for reference, along with the receipt to validate my experience.While I cannot deny the potential quality of El Sauz's offerings, this unfortunate incident casts a shadow over any positive attributes the food may possess. As a first-time customer, this experience has left an indelible mark, one that I cannot overlook. I hesitate to dissuade others from trying El Sauz, but I must caution against the possibility of encountering similar issues. We got breakfast burritos, sausage and machaca. Really good, and we both got chips and a generous bag of salsa, ketchup, and tapatio. The horchata is very cinnamonny, which I really love. Looking forward to returning for a non-breakfast meal.

I would definitely return to this restaurant. $$$$ but worth it. The close the tacos outside at 3am everyday. restaurant at midnight and at 1 am on Friday's and Saturday'

Owner tried kicking us out cause HIS employees sold us beer. Tried telling us that we needed to buy the SAME food that we already purchased to get the drinks we BOUGHT. Photo is the 5 dollars I got back after stating that HIS coworkers were okay with selling beer outside. Never coming back to this place. Owner was rude. Manager was rude. Food sucked. Nachos only came with beans and cheese when I asked for everything. They do not train their coworkers regarding what they’re allowed to sell. 0/10 experience. There is far better Mexican food in Long Beach with employees that are trained and owners who are not rude to customers.

Honestly will never come here again. First time I came here I got a bean and cheese burrito. Wasn’t hot at all and cheese wasn’t melted. Only reason why I came back was because they were the only Mexican place open at this time 11:30 pm. Once again bean and cheese burrito and cheese wasn’t melted at all and didn’t have any flavor. My boyfriend got a carne asada burrito and there was a sharp bone in it. We paid almost 30$ for this food and it was honestly not good at all. I will never come here again
