Perfect location for this AMAZING sushi restaurant! It's right near DTLB & a perfect spot to satisfy your sushi cravings. I've been here a couple of times before, but this last time I've come the SERVICE is what stood out to me the most (aside from their amazing fresh sushi) that I had to leave a review! The servers were so kind & attentive! Always checking in on us My friend and I sat at the bar seating and received our food as soon as it came out! We went around 6pm on a Tuesday. Was not busy and the ambiance was sooo inviting! They greeted every single person who came into the door which had my friend & I wondering if they knew them personally! I've never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before Now for the food! Angel Roll 10/10: loved the albacore fish on top with spicy tuna inside! Great tasting 911 Roll 10/10: fresh avocado topped off with the spicy tuna! All that was missing was some jalapeño slices on top! (in my opinion) We were offered complimentary vanilla ice cream that was creamy & delicious! Overall great experience for a sushi restaurant on a Tuesday! Definitely will be visiting again when in search for a local sushi spot 11/10 experience & 10/10 food!

Closed permanently. Goyan is a gone and believe it or not they are going to be replaced by another sushi joint- forget the upcoming name. This will be the third time in 6years that this location has housed a sushi spot.

Vegans steer clear, this place absolutely is for locals and locals only. My experience, our server was too busy running around hugging every woman in the restaurant to talk to me about the menu. The menu is a mess... no vegan section but a weird vegetarian section that looks like it was written by a child with markers that makes zero sense. News flash: eel sauce is not vegetarian (when it has bonito or other fish flakes)! Don't call yourself vegan friendly without actually stating clearly on the menu what vegan options are available. Also: do not get huffy with a customer who orders water when you ask for drink orders.. WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE BEVERAGES ON YOUR MENU. How rude to condescend to me when I simply didn't know what drinks were available. がっかりして戻りません。

Solid sushi spot on 2nd street! Everything was reasonably priced, and the servers were super friendly and attentive--even providing our dog a water bowl. I had the chirashi bowl and veggie tempura. all the fish and toppings tasted fresh, and the veggies were yummy and perfectly crispy.

My daughter decided to have her 15th dinner here. We were a party of 22 and let me just say the service was superb. Gustavo was our waiter. He did amazing considering the large group. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were pretty great as well. I got the firecracker jalapeno to start off and it was very tasty, definitely recommend. I also ordered the shrimp tempura roll which was 5pcs and it was so good. My daughter and I shared the rainbow roll which was my absolute favorite. It was so good and fresh. To drink I ordered the Arnold Palmer which was perfect! Not too sweet with the tea flavor. I also tried the peach sake and that was Soooo yummy. I will definitely be coming back.

I don't know why I haven't been here sooner. Maybe it's because it on the other side of 2nd st. So I was craving sushi and didn't want to go to the other places. They had a lot to offer on the menu, but I went with the low carb option because, why not. It was fantastic. They spicy brussel sprouts were very good and not too spicy. They are now a favorite. My BF also loved what he got and I liked what he remembered to share with me.Overall I liked this place better than some of the other sushi places on 2nd and I'm surprised more people don't come here, but it's great for me since I don't have to wait for a table.

Wow! Just WOW! My wife and I both ordered chirashi dishes, and we shared a mixed tempura and a house salad. The food was delicious, the ingredients were fresh and high quality, the service was friendly and sincere and the ambience was cozy and iniviting. What more could you ask for? My wife has very high standards when it comes to food and other things, and she and I both kept complimenting this place, because it so far exceeded our expectations. This place is a gem, and the Long Beach is lucky to community is so blessed to have this lovely restaurant.

Right in the middle of 2nd Street is a little hotspot you have to experience in full. Great seating outside, they are always busy. Justin will greet you with a big welcoming smile. He is genuinely happy to see 'everyone', and everyone is happy to see Justin. Even if they are just passing by, people come over to shake his hand and say hello. I really like that kind of vibe in the shore.So, we sat outside as you always should on 2nd Street. We have a thing about bento box dinners. And, man were we pleasantly surprised with theirs here.The "box" is a rather large square plate. Instead of "little compartments" you have bowls for the salad, miso, tempura, etc.... it all looks so beautiful and elevated.My partner and I both agreed both the teriyaki beef and the chicken teriyaki were extremely well prepared and fantastic. The 3 item bento is a whole lot of food just so you know. We could have gone with 2 items, but wanted to just eat all night... LOL.I am really glad we stepped into Justin's world, and we will certainly be back many times in the future.
