My wife and I visited Long Beach for a weekend and she found this shop on google. Tried it out first day here and enjoyed our coffees so much we decided to come back a second time before we had to leave for the airport. We had the mocha, cortado, and shared the avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. 10/10 for everything! The music playing was very chill for a Sunday morning. Alex, who was working was super friendly and attentive, the food was flavorful and delicious and we loved the coffee so much that we ordered a second one to go even after having a full breakfast and coffees. Will 100% come here next time we visit Long Beach
Chimichurri sandwich was nice but a little bit too oily. The regular oat latte was huge.

Cute and small coffee shop. Perfect to catch up with a friend on a Sunday morning in downtown. I hear it’s immigrant owned, so they will get all my business!

This place was perfect! They made our matcha tea latte with no added sugar and my oat milk lavender latte was just right. The avocado toast did not disappoint on fresh sour dough, at just the right thickness. We'll be back!

This coffee shop was the bomb! They made me free special and acknowledged, like a hug from my mom. They were supportive in helping make a decision and made great coffee.

It's really unfortunate that I'm writing this because everything was fine at the beginning. We stopped coming here because the daughter was rude to my friend and embarrassed him in front of customers. They had a wet floor sign placed (not 'bathroom closed') so after a few minutes once the floor looked dry, my friend went to use the restroom and before he could reach the door, the daughter scolded him in front of everyone for trying to use the restroom while it was closed for cleaning. We didn't know that. We waited for the floor to dry, per the wet floor sign. Shouldn't have been a big deal at all. He even apologized after getting scolded by her. She just kept looking mad and annoyed afterwards while tending to other customers, which made us feel uncomfortable and we left immediately. I'm assuming based on other reviews here that she's 'Sue'?! I hope they can talk to her and help with her interpersonal skills. The parents (owners) are super nice, the mom has always been so sweet. The coffee is good too. I recommend the paninis. Customers that come here are friendly as well. You have to pay for street parking, which sucks, and they're a bit pricy but this is becoming the norm for good coffee shops in Long Beach. But overall, good coffee, good food, nice owners.
Soo apparently the Chagaccino (mushroom coffee) is the thing to get here and I'm a coffee snob who is picky and I loved it. I'd definitely try it. My girl also got the matcha rose latte and said it was one of the best matchas she's had in a long time. The banana toast was good and the sunrise sandwich wasn't anything to run out of bed for but it was descent. Staff is chill the shop is nice and clean. We will definitely put this on our coffee rotation

ground hideout's chai is to die for! the perfect amount of cinnamon is amazing! the interior is a bit small but there's some outside seating as well. the menu's pretty diverse and the people are very nice! you'll also find a bunch of people who walk their dogs. there's good parking around and the neighborhood is pretty nice

I made a promise to my boyfriend for the new year that I will start drinking local coffee shops instead of going to Starbucks. so this morning was the day to start our local coffee shop adventure in Long Beach, and my boyfriend told me about this place which when he lived in Long Beach he used to come here all the time he knows the people inside. I literally live not too far so we decided to get our dog ready for a morning walk and decided to come here for some breakfast and some coffee. I was a little hesitant only because I'm so used to a certain type of coffee at Starbucks. I'm not a coffee drinker I just love the sweet taste but as I'm getting older coffee is definitely something that's very much needed for energy wise so just gonna drink coffee at least once a week, but I live in such a beautiful area that there is a lot of coffee shops. I looked at the menu as we approached and I seen that they had a white chocolate mocha which was perfect because that's one of my favorite drinks that I usually get from Starbucks so I told my boyfriend that I want it that and a breakfast burrito. My boyfriend went inside to order me and my dog sat outside in the seating area and which was my dogs first time actually being out and sitting down which she did really good. I would definitely give this place a 10 out of 10 the coffee was great. The breakfast burrito was 100%. My boyfriend ended up getting an avocado toast with some bacon on it and he added bacon in my burrito as well which I did share with my dog with the bacon not the burrito. Definitely this might have to be my go to place on a Sunday with my dog. I definitely didn't experience the service only because my boyfriend did everything but he raves so much about the people inside, so I trust him with everything.
