Good food even better pastry. It's very friendly, and runs by students taking the culinary programs. A nice area to hang out in a school environment. Great service from student, especially its their first time running the shop.

It is closed for summer however Google says it's open, I was told that it will open hopefully mid SeptemberThe reason for 1 star doesn't mean bad review for taste and quality, it means that you will be relying on Instagram (if you have it at all ) also they can update on their website...be professional please.

I happened upon this place because of the calendar sent out to all Long Beach residents. Excellent quality pastries. Prices are very reasonable. We've been twice and were so pleased on both visits. Pastries are the quality of any great bakery in the Los Angeles area. I love the cheese and jalapeño croissants, and also the macrons. Can't wait to try the bistro!

Great selection of items! Cashiers are always friendly and helpful with ensuring inventory is correct. Cool place for students to hang out.

Freshman here at LBCC and the bakery has to be my favorite spot on campus. They open at 9am and their menu options are amazing! My boyfriend loved their breakfast burrito and I loved their pepperoni brioches. There are some menu items that are permanent and some that are new for the day. You can tell their chocolate chip cookies are made from love cause duh it's made by amazing culinary students! also, I'm literally OBSESSED with their Jamaica drink so much that I get it everyday. For real it's so refreshingTheir lines can get long but they're so quick with the service and the wait time for your food after ordering is less than 4-5 minutes. seriously. Customer service is awesome and they do tend to run out of menu items around 12 but that's because it's just so good you can't even be mad! Their utensils are all compostable and biodegradable which I looooooove. What's not to love about this place. W for tha culinary students

Absolutely delicious baked goods, coffee, and sandwiches. They're always friendly too. Keep in mind that the bakery is run by students so it is only open during semesters when the class runs, so if you come during the summer or winter when the classes for this program aren't running, it's not going to be open. Ignorance isn't a good reason to give bad reviews. It opens again on 9/19 Mon-Fri from 9am-1pm this semester (2022) but they typically keep their Instagram updated for the latest info every semester. You can also contact them for upcoming info on their email bakery @ lbcc.edu (without the spaces) and they respond usually within 2 days, which is a pretty good turn around. We have used them to cater our events (which you can request via email) on multiple occasions, and will be doing so again.

Being a student from the south of France I congratulate the bakery for recreating dishes from my childhood, witch such finesse. Delicious affordable food for students that are desperately in need of nutritious and cheap options. Thank you for being so welcoming and kind towards your customers! PS the breakfast brioche is a must have!

Fantastic place and always a favorite stop of mine, pre-COVID pandemic. Made by students and run by students under the guidance and instruction of Chefs Pierre Jues and Chris Young. I'm not sure why I haven't already reviewed this place, but am doing so now as the Spring 2021 semester at the college is coming to an end and the Bakery has been closed to the public but offering baked goods to essential college employees working on campus, students and others in need, and some other fortunate few, like me.During this semester what has been made in the bakery has expanded into things they have never done before. Rather than try to remember it all, I just want to share the note I sent to the program faculty and students today to share my favorites and show my appreciation:Wow, this semester has been the best I've experienced since the bakery opened! Super job and huge thanks to all of the students! You've all stepped up and set a new high bar for my expectations of the bakery. Great seeing a lot of new things not offered before. My two new favorites are the chocolate cake, it should be called shock-a-lot cake because of the intense and shockingly amazing chocolate flavor and deliciousness! The banana Nutella bread was my other favorite, with such a great banana and walnut flavor and the subtle hazelnut chocolate flavor that doesn't over power or over sweeten the bread. Thank you for bringing extra joy and enjoyment that helped brighten up this strange pandemic world--which finally seems to be coming to an end. And, finally, much thanks and love to Chefs Pierre and Chris for all the hard work they put in semester after semester to continue improving the Baking and Pastry program and taking it to the next level!
