Very good happy hour downstairs Monday-Thursday 5-7 pm, a selection of half price wine by the glass or bottle. Wine, food and service was excellent.

Absolutely great athmosphere, good service, the plating is top tier and the restaurant is lovely. On the surface its very pretty. However I have never had such awful bland and oversalted food in my life. Im not even exaggerating, we had the course meal for 85$ or so and I was shocked how bad the food was.The ingredients are great quality, the plating exceptional. But the chef hasnt tasted his food in ages because there wasnt a single ounce of flavor.Caviar on their cracker was stale and tasted of nothing. Scallop dish was so oversalted it made me gag, and zero flavor profile, literally just scallop olive oil and SALT. It was vile. Such a waste, the scallops were so tender and fresh.Risotto was so bland it needed salt, it was just rice and shrimp, put some parmesan or something please, it was good quality food with no flavor. The main course ribeye was nicely cooked, and the grits had a nice cheese flavor, but every so often you would get a bitter bite of salt. The dessert was so sour it made me pucker, absolutely zero balance.Shockingly bad. I didnt complain and didnt send anything back, Ive never sent food back, but definitely rethinking that now...

Fancy food at fancy price. It's nice as a super special treat for an average person. The wine was the best. Great service.

I have been a client for a longtime and even if we have lots of other options to dine in Long Beach and our surrounding cities I always chose Michael's because service is outstanding and the food never disappoints. Love the atmosphere all around . If we want white table dinning we have indoor option and when we want a little casual we can use the rooftop dining. It's my favorite places to eat . I recommend it .

This is my favorite brunch spot in Long Beach. Dishes change with the seasons, and they keep some favorites all year including the velvety biscuits with homemade jam. They offer half off bottles of rose champagne and wonderful cocktails. The service is top notch. It's the perfect balance of attentiveness and just letting you enjoy the experience. The lighting up on the rooftop is incredible.

The location and atmosphere was great and so were the drinks. But unfortunately we were really disappointed by the chef tasting menus. I tried food from all courses of both menus and didn't particularly like any of the courses with the exception of the free initial item. So much so that we ordered more food off the menu instead.

We sat upstairs with the roof open. Very nice setting. Service excellent. My wife wanted a super Tuscan, she gave the Sommelier a layman’s explanation of what she wanted, I gave him a price limit and he came back with an excellent choice. I had the Mezzalumna (duck) and it was excellent!!! The Polipo (grilled octopus) was very good as was the stuffed squash blossoms. Wine List very extensive with pricing from $60 to the limit. Most dishes in the 20-40 range.
