Best place to have German food. The food is authentic and delicious. Great selection of beers and great food. Big, hearty portions, friendly service. The pork shank was tender and had a rich gravy. The schnitzel’s wild mushroom sauce is great and has great flavor. The pork is not dry and the light breading makes a good texture. I wished that the mashed potatoes and wild mushroom sauce were served hot, but it was still delicious.

The German beer selection was excellent compared to other establishments in SoCal. The food wasn’t what I remember like from Bavaria but nonetheless delicious.

Got the 2 brat plate. Very decent brats. the exotic one isnt spectacular tho. the one with the d something or w something was really flavorful. the cheese filled ones also very jnteresting. the spicy one is defeptive, mild at first bite then 5 seconds later an inferno erupts in your throat. Fries are surprisingly great. the quarted potato side was ultra meh. check yelp for thorough reviews this feels weird format here, like i cant look at my pics while i type and my dish isnt listed on the selection below, howm i supposed to remember???

I been here a few times, the beer is always good. I ate here the the first time and the BBB burger. I was able to get it medium rare and it was one of the best burgers I've had in awhile.

It was really nice to visit an authentic German restaurant! Great food! We had Brussel sprouts and a Bavarian pretzel for starters, then an assortment of brats and sides including sweet and sour cabbage, potato salad, and spiced green beans. I had a flight of beers, and my wife and daughter split a Sangria. Then, all three of us split an apple strudel with a scoop of ice cream. Everything was great tasting, and all of the food was neither too salty nor overpowering. It wasn't cheap, though. Our bill came to $150. $15 for the pretzel was too much, despite it tasting so good!

Rasselbock is alright for German food. They have an extensive German beer list. There's also wine. My husband had a dark beer which he really enjoyed. My husband ordered the jager schnitzel with potato salad and sauerkraut. I had the bratwurst with sauerkraut and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were excellent, crispy and sweet. The potato salad had a firm texture and nice flavor. Very disappointed with the sauerkraut, it was very salty. Ended the evening with apple strudel, which was crispy, flaky with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, a good meal. Restaurant is very popular and busy. Reservation recommended.

A decent German gastropub with a great selection of central European bears and Germanic cuisine. The Rasselbock schnitze ($21) was excellent and I highly recommend the brussel sprouts and roasted red potatoes as sides. The homemade apple strudel ($11) was quite good too.My only real complaint with regards to the food is that everything is on the expensive side for the portion sizes.Edit: Came back for some bratwurst ($16.50+$3.75 for a second sausage) - the red cabbage is quite good and fruity-sweet, while the brats were excellently flavored. Moreso than last time though, this felt quite highly priced relative to the portion.Edited Edit: Third time is unfortunately not the charm. The party's orders came out almost 20 minutes apart and were almost lukewarm temper. They were also out of all Sangria and their seasonal special creampuff, which - while only a pair of items - is quite deflating when the group became excited for them. Certainly would've helped if the server mentioned they were out of things when seating. This session also had an issue of the whole restaurant stinking of cigarettes.Parking: There're a decent number of spots on the nearby streets, though they're often full given the other nearby restaurants in the area.Around back, there's a small parking lot that can be somewhat difficult to find.
