We came for lunch to avoid the dinner rush. It was perfect timing. We're also vegetarian so we tried several of their vegan/vegetarian options. They have an extensive menu and tons of options. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. Our favorite were the scallion pancakes and the ramen. It was a bit spicy for us, even though we asked for mild, but it was so delicious. Portions are huge. We took half home, but we're excited to have leftovers.

I went to Sura last night with my boyfriend. He’s Korean, so we eat at a lot of Korean restaurants. We were really excited to try Sura when we saw how extensive the menu was. I was especially excited about the vegan menu. But honestly, the food didn’t taste like authentic Korean food. I ordered Tofu Kimchi fried rice, & it was spicy but still bland, & very dry. I couldn’t even eat it. The crispy dumplings were fine. I ended up ordering corn cheese, which is a favorite of mine, when I didn’t like the rice. The corn cheese was more savory than sweet, which corn cheese is usually more sweet than super savory. It also had A LOT of white onions…yuck. And it also had PEAS & CARROTS in it??? Why? It’s CORN cheese. Doesn’t need peas, carrots, or onions. They also served it with tortilla chips like we were at Chili’s, which was so weird to us. My boyfriend didn’t care for the kimchi fried rice or corn cheese either, but we both agreed the vegan dumplings were fine. Banchan was ok, but nothing to rave about. Our server, Trevor, was super nice & very friendly. The atmosphere was ok. Again, nothing really exceptional. We ate inside. My boyfriend ordered spam & cheese soon tofu, & he said it was ok. All in all, we paid $100 for food that was kind of a letdown & didn’t taste authentic Korean, but more like it catered to people whose tastebuds can’t handle real authentic ethnic food,Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian/vegan options, but based on the flavors of what I ordered, I wouldn’t care to try any of the other vegan dishes.

It's a pretty good korean restaurant. The food portion is OK. The taste was good. It's more like a real Korean food taste. Unlike any other Americanized Korean food. A mid range. Service is OK. Food comes a bit slow. The atmosphere is lively. A bit crowded. Maybe it's hard to find parking in this area. It has tables and chairs outside of the restaurant too.

I am Korean. I ordered Japchae and Steam Egg here. I was paid for the rice and side dishes when I paid. Awesome. Japchae is not a side menu. It's a kind of food. I came back because I remember eating deliciously in the past. Eggo... I don't feel good......

The best dish we had this evening was the bulgogi beef it had a great texture and flavor. Then the rice cakes great spicy and so much fun. We also got the ramen and bibimbap they were good nothing special and probs won't need to get it again. Then the scallion pancake was more scallion than pancake which was a bit sad because the batter was so good but the scallion was overwhelming.

Never did I think I'd ever fully enjoy a Korean BBQ restaurant again now that I've gone plant-based. Sura proved me wrong and is the quintessential vegan-friendly KBBQ that you can find here in Southern California, and I am a fan.My friends and I made an evening reservation on Yelp and I'm so glad we did. Although our party was a bit late from LA traffic, we were able to be seated with half our party to get the night started.First off - all the banchan here is vegan by nature. Love that I could enjoy classics like kimchi, potato salad, and pickled daikon without asking whether there were any animal products used. You must order an entree to receive banchan, but order we did.We went through a lot of main dishes together as a group. Some of the highlights include their Fried Mushrooms (AMAZING appetizer and perfect for a huge party), Japchae, Tteok Bokki on a stick, and their Mock Meat KBBQ Kalbi. Everything was priced well, portions were generous, and everything tasted delicious. Many of my non-vegan friends agreed that no quality nor taste was lost just because it's plant-based.Being able to spend time with friends over KBBQ is something I never thought I'd have again, and Sura truly brought back that nostalgia. Thank you so much Sura for the great food, service, and experience. I definitely can't wait to return again one day.Vegetarian options: Many items are vegan or can be veganized, making this a very comprehensive plant based KBBQ meal

I can definitely say it was the worst Korean food experience I've ever had. We were travelers who had been walking all day and found this restaurant on Google maps ? because we were so tired and hungry we just wanted something hot! When we arrived, we stood at the front door, no any waiter ?‍♀️ said hi to us, later we saw a waiting list machine, the waiter told us to wait 20 minutes, we saw that almost half of the seats in the restaurant were empty, I was really tired at that time, I just wanted to have a seat to rest. I said: You have so many tables available. The waiter just said I need to wait for five minutes. We ordered Army hot pot, which was recommended on their menu, but it was completely different from anything I had tasted before, the soup ? was very salty, the food was very cheap, the pot only contained lunch meat, ham sausage and a bag of instant noodles. It's all fast food, super unhealthy, using ingredients that cost a few dollars and selling them to customers for $43. With taxes and tips, it cost $54. This is not a good restaurant ?, I can't recommend it!

I had been coming here for a long time and it used to be great. No it is super unorganized, I put my name on the list and they sat everyone that was coming after me. They didn't even look at the waitlist and i asked a waiter if it was accurate and they stated it was. It is such a
