The actors were excellent! The ones sitting at the tables were not easily identified as part of the show. Peter Pee was hysterical and was great at working the room. The two detectives were absolutely the best!Parking: Parking was onsite, easy and inexpensive

My husband and I chose to do this as a unique date night experience, we were not disappointed. The actors really made it entertaining, especially the two detectives. We recommend this dinner show, we noticed that it would be fun in larger groups! There were quite a few larger groups enjoying themselves!

I took my friend for her birthday thinking this would be something new and different and reading the reviews it seemed like everyone had a good time.We went to the event at the Courtyard by Marriott and it was very disappointing. The main actors were good but that's about the only good thing I have to say .The food was horrible and not cooked thoroughly...the couple next to us got up and left after they saw the food and one person at our table sent his chicken back twice to get a piece that was cooked thru with no luck.Way too expensive for what we received...I think most people would expect a little more for the money.

Amazing experience! Went with a group of friends and we had an absolute blast! Food was delicious, actors were hilarious, and they really made it special for my friend’s birthday. Can’t recommend this show enough! Will definitely be coming back.

We went to the Long Beach show this weekend and had a great time. The actors were hilarious and kept the energy level high, not easy to do for hours on end. Our group appreciated their performances and what a wonderful show they put on.

(Pre-Covid Review)Who doesn't want to be part in solving a mystery? I was excited to see a show while eating dinner but I was wrong on how this is carried out. The event takes place in the Queen Mary which is a good setting because of its history and mystery. My show was going to start at 7am and the ticket states to arrive early to check in. However, they leave you standing outside and open the doors at 7am. So not sure why we need to check in early if they aren't going to open the doors early. Once you check-in you create your alias name and can get your picture taken with a few weapons. They serve appetizers at the entrance not at the table so it's sad that you can't get more. The first course is already served when you arrive which is a mixed green salad and there are rolls with butter. Throughout the night the show happens in the room but the actors do not have mics so it can be hard to hear the clues. The acting is okay and there was only one actor that stood out to me. He was really funny and stole the show with his jokes. He played the part of the detective. There is a moment where you must get up to interact with others to ask questions. If you are shy then this is something that you don't want to do.The food is served late and it's mediocre food. You get a small chicken breast with one scoop of mashed potatoes and a few veggies. I didn't like that the food is not served right away and you have sit there waiting for it. Overall, the show is okay, the food is bland, and the experience is not memorable.

The setting on the Queen Mary is spectacular!! This is not a dinner theater as I had expected. This is a audience participation event, and it is impossible to interact with everyone there to figure out who among you did it. You must look on the back of the paper on the table to know what to be looking for first of all, then read the magazine articles provided if you want to be able to figure things out!!!! Food sat while they talked, and it was cold when served. I saw no reason for this.

They need a microphone real bad. People were complaining and I couldn't here what was going on. And when they were yelling and talking fast you couldn't understand what they were saying. I think it was too long before we had dinner. I would not go to another one at Queen Mary.

This was a super fun experience with great friends. Food was average but the entertainment was over the top! I highly recommend going with a group of friends or your significant other. You won't be disappointed.

First the actors did a good job, the show was decent but the room was warm at times. Here is for the ONE STAR... I had 11 people in my party, two were allergic to fish which the servers repeatedly tried to serve them which we told them several times we all ordered chicken. The "FISH" dinners came out at 8:10pm, but we still did not have our chicken? We had nothing at this point. I asked the servers what happened we all ordered chicken and they said the kitchen was out??????? REALLY??? I asked repeatedly to speak to a manager, but conveniently I was told they were in the kitchen. At 8:40 two people in my party left that were diabetic and had to eat and two more couples left because they were allergic to fish and were just hungry!!! The chicken (which they must have some how found) was clearly frozen chicken, watery and just not good!! Our chicken came out at 8:50pm, I would NEVER go to this again, waste of money! They should stick to a two hour show and not bother with dinner!!!Very disappointed for the terrible service, not being able to speak to a manager and for the Queen Mary serving frozen chicken. The wait staff clearly didn't care that people were sitting there since 5:30pm and at almost 9:00 no dinner served! Do yourself a favor and go to the laugh factory, or another venue in Long Beach, this isn't worth the price.

First off: Parking. We paid $20.00.Secondly the show: We arrived with our party at approximately 5:45pm for a 6 pm start of show. Waited in line for our name tags and dinner ticket. Employees were friendly and helpful. You can then either go to your assigned table or have your photo taken, (at a cost of $35.00).There is a bar with alcohol and other drinks, including soft drinks. My husband paid $9.00 for one Corona beer, my sister in law paid $5.00 for one can of Diet Coke. A little steep to say the least. We get to our assigned table to find our salads waiting for us. Salads include the spring mix (or field mix) of greens, two slices of tomato, a few shaved cucumbers and some shredded carrot. Dressing was on the table, only one kind: Italian. We had to ask for extra. Our table included a basket of dinner roles, which were stale. Very little butter included. Free drinks included water and more water. The show started, the detectives were funny, and it's fast paced, so you have to pay close attention to the dialog and the clues. There was plenty of audience interaction, which was a lot of fun. Guests are encouraged to leave their seats and 'interrogate' total strangers because 'everyone is a suspect'. One cast member sat at our table after the staff asked us if it was ok for him to join our party, which was a dead giveaway that this solo guest was a part of the show. We were right. He was. My only complaint was that our dinner was not served until about 8:30 pm. My father in law is a diabetic and was starting to 'drop off' due to his sugar getting too low from lack of food. We encouraged him to eat the stale rolls until his dinner finally came out. Dinner was one boneless, skinless chicken breast (which was delicious), with a light sauce, served with three asparagus spears and one little carrot, with a tablespoon of mashed potatoes, which were the real thing, not instant. The dinner was good, we just wish it had been served much earlier for my father in laws sake. Dessert was a nice chunk of layered chocolate cake served with a small dollop of whip cream and a small dollop of raspberry sauce, which was very good. My father in law was served a small plate of sliced melon, as naturally, he could not eat the cake, so they did accommodate his special diet . The servers came out with coffee, which we all took, but there were no offer of refills, which would have been welcomed since the coffee cups were tiny. All in all, we enjoyed our evening at the Queen Mary and the Dinner Detective. It was fun, entertaining and a different way to spend a Saturday night with our family and friends.
