People that give low star reviews to places because “the line is too long” or “I couldn’t find parking” are annoying. Are you expecting a coffee shop to be empty in the morning??The drinks and food are great, the staff is friendly. 5 stars.

There are areas to sit outside, the space is limited inside. There are a variety of pastries but no gluten free options but they have milk alternatives. The drinks are good but a little pricey. Parking could be challenging as it's a popular neighborhood coffee shop.Dietary restrictions: There is no gluten free or vegan options
This place is amazing! Friendly staff, fantastic coffee and a wide selection of tasty pastries. Cute interior with lots of seating outside.

A great little coffee shop in the Bixby Knolls are of Long Beach. A nice outdoor atmosphere outside and a few tables inside. They have a lot of great pastries and a number of coffee and tea choices. A local spot with much more character than a Starbucks. About the same priciness as a Starbucks but it's always better keeping our money local and support local businesses.

Their CINNAMON ROLLS are AAAAMAZING!!! It's best to arrive as soon as they open because they're freshly made out of the oven. There are other yummy baked goods worth trying and complements well with their iced coffee. Parking is a bit challenging but it's a perfect little gem with cute aesthetics to take Instagram worthy photos.

I'm so happy to have bean to The Merchant coffee shop! A friend recommended their Vanilla Honey Oat Latte, so I had to stop by and see what the rave was about. I can confidently say that this is one of my favorite lattes I've had ever. The flavors and espresso blended together so seamlessly, and this was probably one of the best concoctions I've ever had. Normally either the espresso is too bold or the oat milk makes the drink a little gritty or the vanilla or sweetener is overpowering, but this drink was too good not to down in 5 minutes. My heart was racing after but it was pretty worth it.Staff were warm and kind; couldn't ask for more. The shop itself is super small and quaint (almost like small town coffee shop vibes), and most of their seating is outside in front the store. I wouldn't recommend working/studying here, but if need be there are tables (maybe 1 plug inside). I'm also very curious about the many pastries they offer, but I'll try that next time (which there will be!)In conclusion, I'm definitely buying what The Merchant is selling! :)
