I told my husband I'll write a review because he loves this place - the silent movies playing in the background at night, the pizza with the dough cooked through with a little char, and even when we're not in the mood for pizza we'll come here for salads and appetizers. Any time it was his turn to prepare dinner we ended up here - he loved the vibe of this place, the familiar faces and awesome service. I told him this review was for him but it's really for me too. We will miss you, Thunderbolt Pizza! Thank you, Jay, Christie, and Tyler for being part of our family for the last 2+ years.

This place is ran by locals and they know what they are doing. The pizza is always fire. Service is excellent. Nothing is bad here and they work hard to keep it that way. Can't wait for my next slice.

Pizza was great, wings were better tho and the Japanese beers were nice and light. Service was quick and helpful and they were happy to make suggestions, the outdoor dining is a must and it has a nice relaxing atmosphere.

The pizza was wonderful! The enclosed patio was comfortable, and the staff was kind. We love the Brooklyn pizza, the pepperoni, and we tried the We Be Jamming! All of them were good, but the Brooklyn is my favorite.

If you happen to find yourself in the Bixby area of Long Beach around lunchtime, do yourself a favor and stop by the southwest corner of Carson and Atlantic to Thunderbolt Pizza. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. I had the Hellfire sub and loved it. They bake the bread to order and cram it full with so much flavor that you'll savor it to the last bite. Capicola, spicy soprasetta, pepperoni, arugula, ricotta, chopped cherry peppers, spicy mayo.

Love this spot ! Been coming here since many owners ago LOL . Definitely enjoy thunderbolt pizza ! Love dining in their outside area , always feels warm and they have a projector screen playing something. I had got the white pizza with Caesar salad . Both were good and fresh ! They also have a nice ranch and seasonings on the side that nice to pair the pizza with! Service was on point , everyone was nice , parking shared with joining businesses but may get packed when the brewery folks decide to park there

Always great pizza and beer selection, and don't sleep on the sandwiches either! Staff are super friendly and patient with everyone, and I have literally never had a bad meal or experience there. You can also order your pizza and they'll bring it over to the brewery next door!
This is by far the best pizza in Long Beach that I've had. Fantastic flavors. The garlic knots are a must! They are heartily coated in butter and delicious garlic. The front of house was great and everyone was friendly. They gave warm greetings, asked how things were, and offered advice for future visits. I will be back often. They also have slices deals but the whole pizzas are great and where you'll want to eat with friends. Cute covered inside area where they show silent black and white films in the evening when the sun comes down. A wonderful experience. And get a freshly pumped cannoli for dessert. Made to order as they should be. Not sitting around waiting and getting soggy. We watched as they were made. A nice lemon zest palette cleanse after a fresh pizza and garlic knot feast for the mouth.

I ordered 16" pizza works and added jalapeño for pick up. The quality of the pizza was great. 16" is more than enough for two people. Pizza was ready in 15 minutes. Very satisfied with the pizza. This restaurant is our to go pizza place in Bixby Knolls.

Went to your restaurant at 9:55pm. I understand you close at 10:00pm. Your counter person told me I couldn't order a pizza. Yet, you had a full restaurant. Ovens were on. Music was on. The guests you had were eating. In other words, there was no reason my order couldn't have been placed.When I asked her can I order a pizza to go, she said, "no, sorry."Yeah, that's bad business.

Here to say this place is consistent with customer service and great pizza! These are probably the best chicken nuggets I've ever had in my life and now I eat them almost every Friday . This is a smaller space and the staff is always fully engaged. You can opt to sit at Ambitious and order the QR codes on their tables and they bring your food right over to your table. If there's ever a backup, the owner, Jay, has always put his customers first. He's a hard worker and there's barely a day I don't see him there.
