I agree with comment below about it being dirty. I don't know if it is a new owner, but garbage was spilling over, floors unswept, orange juice maker caked with old orange residue. I had a bagel sandwich that tasted okay, but in retrospect not planning to go in there anytime soon due to being skeptical about food safety. It used to be very crowded, not anymore.

While I like this bagel shop, I left feeling nickel and dimed. We came here and bought a dozen bagels. Bagels themselves were fine, however: --There is an extra charge if you want the bagels sliced --No freezer bags provided --It's a dozen bagels only; not a baker's dozen --4% "service charge" added at the register (this is waived if you pay with cash, but I didn't see this until too late) --In addition, a tip (15-25%) is the default/expected. I thought - wow, I left with a dozen bagels that I have to slice myself and provide my own freezer bags, but I'm still supposed to pay a 4% extra fee and leave a tip? Posh Bagel - I wish you would just reflect these charges in your prices and not tack them on later. Charge what you must, but these extra fees leave a bad taste.

I would advise against visiting this bagel shop unless it's conveniently located for you. There are many superior alternatives available. I've patronized this place for 20 years, but here's why I won't be returning: Firstly, the accuracy of order preparation is consistently poor. The staff opts to remember orders instead of writing them down, leading to frequent mistakes. Secondly, there's a noticeable uptick in prices without a corresponding increase in quality. As a regular consumer of their eggwich, I've observed a steady rise in cost but a decline in quality. The egg, microwaved, loses its appeal quickly - turning discolored if not consumed promptly. Also, the bacon, an additional charge, is minimal and only equivalent to a single slice from other establishments. The bagel filling is misleadingly concentrated in the center, creating an illusion of abundance while the rest of the bagel remains sparse.

Friendly staff in a cozy shop with plenty of seating. I saw small tables as well as some group bench seating. Maybe a couple small metal tables out front.Large counters of many, many bagel flavors plus some cookies and possibly, scones.I dropped in for a quick takeaway order of bagels.At home, I toasted a gourmet pesto bagel. Super fresh and tasty!Will definitely visit again.
