Very authentic Japanese barbecue, the price is a bit high.Grilled wagyu beef is super soft. The clam miso soup is very fresh, salty and delicious. The omelette is juicy

Ordered take-out. Oyakodon was underwhelming. Chicken still had that nice smoky flavor but the entire bowl was a bit bland. Portion was small for $20. Ordered the pork belly yakitori skewer and realized for $5 you only get ONE skewer and not two. Thumbs down. Sorry not coming back here again.

Visited here on a recommendation for the chicken karaage WOW, it was delicious. Our server was very helpful with the menu and overall we had a wonderful time. The karaage is delicious and we also enjoyed the mixed vegetable tempura, which had a wide variety of vegetables. We made a reservation because this place does seem popular!

Great restaurant in Los Altos. We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was busy but we were able to get seated right away.We got the salad, a few chicken skewers (all amazing), the rice ball and the set menu with the steak. We had a small issue with the salad which was resolved promptly but otherwise, incredible meal. Staff is also extremely respectful, professional, and friendly.

Delicious Japanese barbeque. It gets busy, but worth the wait. Try all the skewers. And everything else. It's all really good .

There was a bad smell as we stepped into the restaurant. We ordered some skewers and they were fine, but the oyakodon was burnt and the rice under was over cooked. The soup in chazuke was way too salty. The fritter of the fried squid was not fried throughly, making it soft and slimy. Will not come again.

good place for when you’re missing those nights in japan hanging and eating at an izakaya. not too busy, good selection of yakitori and sashimi cuts, mostly small dishes. a lot of tempuras and karaages to choose from in particular, only thing was the sauces on the skewers were a bit cheap tasting and salty, was expecting something a bit more homemade given the rest of the menu.

In the oyakodon, the meat was charcoal-grilled and aromatic, and the eggs were fluffy. I'm thrilled that you can eat oyakodon like this in America.

One of the best hidden gems in Los Altos. Don’t get fooled by the low profile from outside, it has the best dashimaki tamago, really thick chicken broth (hearty yum!), takowasa, and the best skewers in town. They insist on using real wood fire instead of gas fire, which seems to make a big difference in taste. They also have seasonal dessert (photos attached), strongly recommended!

Well, I used to like this place, but...I went there today for lunch and the host insisted on seating me in the back near a drafty door. The front area was completely empty but he refused to seat me there saying they were all reserved. Maybe they were and maybe they weren't but his surly attitude and refusal to offer any sort of alternative were frankly unacceptable.
