A Hidden Gem in Los Altos when you need that broth and are not in San Jose !I stumbled upon this delightful mom and pop pho restaurant during a weekend work trip to Los Altos, and it turned out to be a real gem! As someone who appreciates genuine hospitality and authentic ingredients, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm welcome and the evident care put into every dish. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a friendly smile that instantly made me feel at home. The aroma of simmering bone broth filled the air, hinting at the comforting meal that awaited me. I opted for their classic pho, and it exceeded all expectations. The broth was rich and flavorful, a testament to the honest ingredients used in its preparation. Each spoonful was a comforting embrace, perfect for nursing my morning fogginess from the night before. What truly sets this place apart is its dedication to customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of warmth to an already delightful meal.Adding to the charm of this place is its cool cabin theme, adorned with wooden bears that give it a unique and cozy atmosphere. I love it. If you find yourself in Los Altos craving a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine made with love and care, this is the place to be.

My family loves this place -- consistently great food and service. Owner is alway making sure he and his team are trying their best. Pho broth and wonton soup are amazing! Although some of our favorites also include the bbq chicken spring rolls, filet mignon steak cubes, yellow curry and the different vermicellis. Always excellent.

November 18, 2023 at 12:00 PM I ordered thinly sliced beef pho small size. However, the noodles broke the moment when I put my chopsticks on them, so it was difficult to pick up the noodles with chopsticks. I enjoy eating Pho, but this is my first time having such a bad experience.

The vibe of this place is adorable! Super fitting decor for the cabin name. The food is also tasty, but my main qualm is that it's pretty expensive. $18 bowl of pho with medium portion size and not much meat; so you're mainly paying for the experience. The summer rolls were also just okay. It's pretty bustling at night too for downtown Los Altos!

Came with my partner and we ordered the Large Beef pho and small Chicken pho along with a Vietnamese iced coffee and sat outside since the day was nice. Service was a bit slow, not sure if that is because we were outside or something that they need to figure out since it looks like they had 2 servers but they were both coming outside and serving different tables. Both the chicken and beef were pretty good, flavorful broths with good noodles and the veggies were fresh. The iced coffee however isn't what I'm used to where they bring a cup out with the sweetened condensed milk and the coffee still dripping. It looks like it was made in a big batch and poured into the glass and wasn't sweet enough. It was hard getting their attention just to order so I didn't bother trying to get them to fix it. Even getting the check was hard to flag them down. Both pho's we're good though so we'll definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.

Unfortunately the veggie banh mi I ordered did not hit the spot for me. I ordered to-go for lunch. The veggies needed to be more pickled and I didn't get enough umami from the sauce and mayo. I was expecting tofu slices being seasoned and it was thin layers of tofu. I'd say it tasted okay, but I've had better banh mi from Banh Mi Oven and it's cheaper too. The total came out to $16.31, a bit pricier than expected. It doesn't hurt to try out though. Next time I order from here, I do want to try the pho. What I like about the menu is they offer veggie options. A cute little corner restaurant off of State, will have to dine in eventually. Service was exceptional!

I have a new favorite Pho restaurant! I’m happy to have found The Pho Cabin in Los Altos. The secret to a great Pho is creating an amazing broth and this place has cracked the code. The broth is super flavorful (even without Sriracha!), the noodles are tender and the sprouts, jalapeño, lime and onions are super fresh. There are quite a few other things on the menu that I will return to try. The staff is super friendly and on top of things. And I love the fact that the inside of the restaurant makes you feel like you are in Tahoe (hence “The Pho Cabin”.) They also play feel-good tunes while you dine. It’s a great spot!

The food is way below an average vietnamese restaurant. Definitely won't go back.

I got the seafood pho. The flavor of the broth was great and there was a good variety of toppings. Good service, location, and ambiance. A bit on the expensive side for pho though.

Just finished work in Los Altos area and my taste bud says it's pho time but I know I'm not In the right place for pho. But Your wrong! Yes, it's a bit pricey and servings are on the small side in case you're expecting a big bowl. For me, it's a good size. I ordered a small rare steak pho with a side order of raw steak. The broth was there not watered down or too oily. Just a nice clean broth flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive we sat outside setting good vibes. Will come back for seconds.

I went to Pho Cabin the other day. They have vegetarian options as well as different meat dish options. The fried tofu dish I ordered was good and the tofu tasted fresh. Though, I felt the Sweet and Sour sauce accompanying the dish was a bit skimpy !Other dishes ordered were a Beef Pho bowl and two vegetarian type noodle dishes. All were fresh and tasty from what I was told by my family. Unfortunately , service by our waitress was fair. Due to one of my family member's dietary concerns, she needs all her foods to be cooked or steamed. When she explained this and how she needed her meal prepared , the waitress seemed a bit taken aback. My family member explained the owner knows her and has done this before . The waitress seemed to then accept the request. What bothered me was how after the explanation was the curtness and feeling of exasperation the waitress exhibited because she had to write down a few more extra words on her order tag. Outside of this , service by the Owner and other staff was great. Ambiance is good. More of a simple restaurant or cafe type setting. You have an option of inside or outside. Cost is a bit on higher side but considering it's location this would be expected.
