As first time visitors, Amante Restaurant has by far one of the best pastas along with a flavorful Cioppino. The Crostini Con Burrata was served warmed and with the perfect crunch. The ambiance was quiet and pleasant as it was not too busy during lunch hours. Our visit was delightful with the best service provided by two individuals, one of them being Edgardo Hernandez. We enjoyed the conversation and suggestions provided by him. We definitely recommend visiting this restaurant not only because they have exquisite plates, but their staff is the best. Last but not least, the authenticity of their gelato is amazing, highly recommend the coffee and pistachio flavor.

Went here months ago and I love this place. Had trouble making a reservation before and I'm having trouble again this time with Open Table. Maybe it's me....Also the restaurant phone number doesn't work. Sorry but had trouble last time callling the in house phone. Said you guys very really busy when I did talk to someone. If I can find a way to get a reservation I'll be back. Food was GREAT. Service top notch. Host was friendly, and engaging. This could be my favorite Italian restaurant and I'd come often. Also the prices are fair. Good wine. Please fix the phone problem. I've recommended you often.

Amante Restaurant in Downtown LA is a fantastic choice for delicious and authentic Italian food. My husband and I went there last February, and we were both incredibly impressed. The menu has a wide variety of pizzas, pastas, and other Italian classics. I opted for the carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and I couldn't resist finishing the entire plate. My husband got the chicken parmesan, which he raved about as well. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender, and the sauce was flavorful and cheesy. If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant in LA, I highly recommend Amante!

Took my grandma here for her 84th birthday alongside 8 of her friends. There were 12 of us and Amante did not disappoint. I've actually been wanting to visit this place ever since I saw it in Instagram, and finally did a test visit before even inviting them. Ambiance was just okay. It's pretty dated but the high ceilings and pillars made it appealing. The food though, it was EXCELLENT. I knew for a fact that my grandma would love it. Serving size was good, and prices are very reasonable. I love the white creamy sauce, and their pasta is to die for! Pizza is divine! And to top it all, the service Edgardo gave us was outstanding, alongside Luis. I'm so glad everyone in the party enjoyed their food tremendously. These seniors have been to so many Italian restaurants around LA, and I was told that this is one of the best tasting ones... and I totally agree! I'll sure be back soon to try other dishes. It's DTLA so unless you're patient to find a spot at the street, prepare to pay $20 for parking. Luckily it's just right next to the restaurant.

Wow, this place is amazing. In LA with Italian cravings and so happy I decided to come here. Atmosphere was comfortable, super cute, great set up. Smelled delicious. Service was great. Everything was prepared with lot of love we could feel it. Got the beef filled agnolotti, 4 cheese baked spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, the bread was so good too. Will definitely be back!

Food was great and the outside atmosphere with the flowers and the city really set a great tone for our time at Amante. We had the chicken parm and spaghetti and the beef lasagne. Both were home made and really delicious. Our server, Edgardo, was very attentive and had great recommendations from the moment we stepped into the restaurant.
