I've been coming here for over 3 years. Angel and his food never fails. It's simple, down-to-earth home-style tacos, burritos, quesatacos, mulitas, tortas... it's just good. This place is my son's favorite. We hit up these tacos almost every weekend. The prices are reasonable, the fixings are good and their service is personal. A hot summer day in Chicago doesn't tend to scream "birria tacos!" and yet I found myself eating at Chela's with a friend. The establishment looks small outside (there is definitely limited parking shared with a Subway sandwich shop) but there is a lot of seating. Good food, but kinda sloppy at the end of the night. They ran out of most of their food by 1030pm on a Friday night and only had tacos (tortillas). The green salsa was good and spicy, the red salsa was definitely fire! Tacos de Asada were delicious, but the meat was a bit dry. The horchata was watered down, but authentic.
