Bad customer service....when i asked for peppers ...she said no with a mean and disgusted face....we need to stop giving money to people that dont respect us!!!....please...we need to change the narrative

Burgers are always good. The meat is always fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable $6 for a burger combo.

Fresh patties fresh fries made to order so be prepared for the wait. Took away one star cause they don't take call in orders anymore

I love A1burgers soooo fresh and so good. The service is okay you have to write your order or you can say it now. But i love the burgers it's taste homemade. Reason for 4 star they sometimes yell and you can't understand but very good burgers!

Everything u want in a REAL burger. Really good prices, fresh meat, fresh vegetables, and fresh buns.

If the "right" person is cooking the burgers, you have a great "hole in the wall burger/greasy spoon burger!" If not, not so great...

I came a couple of times. I live in OC , but my friend in LA recommended this cool spot. Nothing fancy - you write what you want on a piece of paper and hand it to the cashier under the window and pay...when it is ready, they call your number. I think their burgers are better than in n out (yes I dare to say that!), fries are also delicious. Cool little gem on Vernon . Food is really affordable too . I hope they will stay in business, I am a loyal customer now

I learned about this place while driving around the area. I remember seeing the line of people and thought, is the burger that good? It's a burger stand so you walk up to a window to someone who will take your order. After the pandemic, they now have cut up paper in a basket for you to write down you order to hand to the person taking your order. You can get the works which is lettuce, tomato onion, ketchup, mayo, mustard. I've seen some people, add chili, or an egg. There's a thick plexiglass between you a the workers. Service is average with very little interaction. You can only see the person taking the order, and not the folks cooking. The prices are really reasonable. You can get an A-1 burger special which is either single or double meat with fries and drink for under $10. Once you pay for the order, you are standing out on the sidewalk waiting for your number to be called from another window. When you pick up your order, there's extra seasoning in a canister. The burger is fresh including the bun. The order comes in a brown paper bag. Good burger for the neighborhood.

I don't know why people describe it as a ghetto burger. It's just an amazing straightforward excellent burger. Some of these foofie boutique burgers could learn from A-1. No need for fancy if you're looking for excellence. Shake a little seasoning on the fries and you're golden. Get a few extra ketchup packets so you don't fight with your daughter who needs more. Get the king burger since you'll leave wishing you could have more soon.

Okay so keeping it honest the food is definitely good. My only problem is they are GREASY!!! So much so that it makes the bread soggy . French fries average but nonetheless edible. If your hungry in the area willing to eat right then go for it. If you have a drive and want to eat at home I don't suggest.

The King Burger was pretty good and filling. I got it with everything on it and added bacon and egg. I'd have to say the wait was approximately 10 minutes after ordering and thankfully I didn't have to experience a long line like others have commented on. I ordered my burger about an hour before closing on a Saturday and no one else was ahead of me. I just wish they had a number or some way to order beforehand and pickup. Other than that, I'll be going back for a good and decently priced burger!

Whenever I want a good fat burger I could make at home but don't wanna .. a1 burger is the place to go . Now it's gonna be a line & it's gonna take about 30 mins for your order but it's hot made super fresh and worth it

A yummy old school no frills burger shop. You go you park you order you get your burger and you walk away. I ordered a strawberry soda and got a root beer instead. That's alright somehow they knew I was contemplating getting a root beer. And don't think I mistakenly said root beer instead of Strawberry because they take your order through a bulletproof window via a sheet of paper. I wrote down Strawberry and he gave me root beer . Anyway the pricing is great the fries are plentiful. The burger was juicy with the right amount of toppings. This place is a treasure ‍
