I'm not even vegan or gluten-free, I just love the food! The first time I stopped by was for a party I was having and I wanted sweets for people with various dietary restrictions. I wasn't even home before I decided to try one. It was so good, I had to call them and let them know how much I loved it!From what I've heard from other bakeries is... you can do vegan and make it good, or you can do gluten-free and make it good, but it's really tricky to get both together and make it taste right. But Cake Girl makes it taste right! Rich and moist and not too "fake".I refer friends here all the time, and although I normally avoid eating too many sweets, I do love stopping by on occasion for a treat!I love the location and everyone there is really nice!

First time trying a vegan gluten free cake and WOW it was so fresh and tasty! I got a vanilla cake with vanilla icing and fresh raspberry filling. First I was impressed by the smell of the cake it was fresh and dreamy. It tasted like heaven! I’ll definitely order from Cake Girl again.

These were the best vegan gf cupcakes I have had in Los Angeles. I got the strawberry matcha, the strawberry churro, the hostess, and the apple cinnamon. All were so good, so moist, just the right amount sweetness. My friend who is not vegan gf was amazed. She said if I had not told her, she never would have known and this girl has a refined pallette shall we say. I also got a chocolate chip cookie. That was not really my speed as it was a bit more dry and crunchy. But I look forward to returning to get some donuts and breads to try!!Thank you Cake Girl for making my Birthday ACE!!!

Amazing! Gave a picture of what I wanted the custom cake to look like and she exceeded my expectations! Not only did the cake look great, it tasted great too. My friends who cannot eat gluten and dairy were very surprised to know there was no gluten or dairy products used in this cake. I'll definitely be ordering from them again!

If you want delicious gluten free and vegan cakes and donuts, look no further, Cake Girl is for you! Located in East LA, Cake Girl is nestled inside the St Louis drug company store. As you enter, you will see it to the right . I got 2 donuts, a brownie and a piece coffee cake, all under 20 dollars. The pastries are fresh and delicious. I loved the churro donut best. Because these cakes are vegan, they tend to be dense but I really enjoyed everything I tried. Parking is available on the street. Enjoy!

Delicious gluten free treats. Came here to get cupcakes for a birthday friend with dietary restrictions. Everyone at the gathering loved the cupcakes and when we visited the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a new go to spot.

Not being able to have Gluten is hard when you want desserts. Cake Girl is a welcome addition to all the Cupcake places that ignore food allergies. Now I can not only enjoy a cupcake I can tell other people with food allergies where to go. I realized that having favorites keeps me from discovering the other flavors so take a risk and pick up something you wouldn't normally like, you are gonna love it because Cake Girl knows her flavors and makes some truly yummy desserts.Also, ignore the lady who doesn't like the atmosphere, this place is old school with the soda shop counter converted to serve desserts, the location is great and welcoming and yeah you can pick up some tissues while you are there.
