I had a wonderful dine in experience at Cara Cara for my birthday. The atmosphere was magnificent. The view at night was incredible. The bar tender Raphael was awesome! I will definitely return!

Outrageously expensive! I've probably eaten at Cara Cara 6-7 times. I recall that it was a bit pricey, but for the views it was worth it. But I won't be going back after a recent lunch for 2 people that cost a ridiculous $180. It broke down as: Cocktails: $21 each x 2 = $42 Marinated carrots + hummus starter: $16 Shrimp Tacos: $23 Branzino entre: $30 Iced Tea = $7 Coffee: $9 x 2=$18 “Wellness Fee” (to cover employee insurance) $4.50 x 2=$9.00 Tax + tip =$22.00 Did you notice the price of the coffee? $9 a cup!!!! And nowhere on the menu does it actually show coffee or the price. They just brining you a cup and smile. And forget about refills. Thank God we didn't order any bottled water as this probably would have made it $200. The food is average and the cocktails are tasty -- but it's far from fine dining. And why I am I paying for employee insurance? Isn't that the role of the employer? Never again. Farewell Cara Cara from my favorite restaurant list.

The most abhorrent service I have experienced in my entire life. The sheer attitude on these hosts and servers is beyond patronizing. More than 3 free empty tables available in the entirety of our stay yet the refused and refused to the point where one of the customers that was leaving asked the host and they still said no just cuz we don't have some pretentious reservation. The food was cold and mediocre at best, the server's attitude ruined our appetite and stay. WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN IN MY LIFE! The most horrid attitude I've ever experienced at a restaurant let alone with my mother on Mother's Day weekend.

The food was delicious and it's hard to beat a rooftop setting. Appreciate that the restaurant emailed early in the day to advise we bring warm clothes—it was hot early but cooked down considerably and its rooftop location meant we did indeed end up using our jackets. The salumi dish was underwhelming, but everything else was delicious, especially the ceviche, the carrots and hummus, and the fried chicken. Cocktails were creative and tasty. Didn't seems dedicated children's menu but my daughter got the orchietta and cheese and it was great. They seemed understaffed so service was slow but we'd go back.

From beginning to end, Cara Cara's ambiance is welcoming and an absolutely wonderful rooftop restaurant experience. Congratulations to the entire team and staff for giving an unforgettable evening

Genuinely really loved the food and service here. Everyone we encountered was so nice and accommodating. We had the hummus, burger and fries and the fried chicken, all of which we would definitely order again. My only complaint is that the hummus comes with a very small portion of bread and the carrots that it comes with are very thin (not dip-able) so when the focaccia bread was done we asked for more to finish the hummus and quickly realized they charge for it (which was fine because it was delicious, but I think the appetizer should come with more focaccia OR carrots that you can actually dip in the hummus). The drinks were also delicious (whiskey business and the carajillo) We will be back!

The food was extremely underwhelming. Poorly done and disappointing. The service was good, but we will never go back.

Honestly, Cara Cara didn't live up to our expectations for my friends and me. I had reserved a table here for a girls' night out, but we arrived 20 minutes late due to heavy traffic, just missing the 15-minute grace period. The hotel security guard at the entrance informed us in a rather aggressive manner that they were "fully booked for the night" and implying that we have to leave. After re-explaining our situation, he instructed us to wait downstairs to wait for any openings. Within 5 minutes, they let us upstairs, where we found plenty of seating??... It's puzzling why he felt the need to be so rude? It's not a club, we just came here to dine. Mushroom Foccacia 8/10 This was very flavorful and worked great as an appetizer for us. Piri Piri Fried Chicken 4/10 I had high expectations for this chicken because of all the outstanding yelp reviews, but it really tasted like frozen food chicken. Popeyes chicken tenders taste way better. For $24, I would expect better quality. Shrimp Tacos 7/10 My friend ordered this and I also had a bite! These were pretty solid shrimp tacos, but it is a pretty small portion for the price. Seared Albacore 1/10 The albacore didn't taste very fresh and had an old fish scent. The broccoli kibbeh and lemon labneh was SO salty, I felt like I was eating spoonfuls of salt. I literally ate 3 bites of this dish and left it there because it was genuinely so bad (my friends also said it was very salty). Cara Hanger Steak 5/10 The steak was very chewy and lacking in flavor. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Cara Cara, there's a lot of roof top restaurants in LA with better food and service. I would give this place a 1 star but I gave it a 2 star for the ambiance/views.

This restaurant is spectacular in every way: delicious food, friendly staff, and unbelievable views. This will be a regular location for me to frequent when I'm in downtown LA!

Cara Cara is always a great place to grab a cocktail or lunch on the rooftop or having dinner overlooking the downtown LA skyline. My partner and I love going to the rooftop, we decided to bring friends along. The food was flavorfull, the drinks were great, and the service from Victoria, our service was great! She ensured that we had everything we needed without even having to ask. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

The view of Los Angeles at night from the roof is gorgeous. The service is SLOW, the food over-priced and mediocre. And the wine list is a joke. Go there for a drink upstairs but eat someplace else...

The food is pretty good! They have quite a few vegetarian options- although I do wish they had more. The service was decent. It wasn't very packed for the night. The ambiance was the best part. I highly recommend coming at sunset!

This restaurant is super cute! Great ambience and loved the overall rooftop vibe. Our server was very attentive and took care of us well. We had a pleasant experience; however, we weren't impressed with the food (hence the 3 star review). The food was ok and way too overpriced.

Food is delicious and service was great. Drinks are okay if you're into spicy and mezcal tequila then you'll definitely like this place but other than that everything is okay.
