A gem in LA. Centinela cafe is the best cafe in town. INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE like no other. So kind and accurate with my orders. They serve PHENOMENAL breakfast and lunch. The burgers, eggs with bacon and sausage, the breakfast burritos, the huevos and chorizo, the chili cheese fries, the breakfast sandwiches, French toast, pancakes and the Belgium waffles always absolutely hit the spot. The staff is beyond amazing and their chefs COOK AMAZING!!!

Hole in a wall spot. Definitely a solid breakfast burrito! Salsa was pretty good too! Will be back

I been coming here for about 13 years. This last visit my son ordered chili cheese fries. We sat in a booth near the mirrors and witnessed that my son's chili cheese fries were microwaved. While we sat here eating they use the microwave to speed up the cooking of the food they are preparing.

I read Centinela Café was burglarized yesterday and hope my review gives them a “boost”. Their food is freshly prepared and fairly inexpensive. I love their Mexican plates like the machaca and eggs as well as their breakfast burritos. You can’t go wrong with any of their specials either. This is truly a staple in the neighborhood and I hope they continue getting the business and recognition they deserve. Consider me a forever customer!

I have been coming here for years and live in the neighborhood. I’ve also had food catered for my Baby Sitting company and they have done a wonderful job of accommodating us. If you moved to the west side from either South LA are further east. This will be a great place to add to your charbroil burger experience.

Had the scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, w/ hashbrowns, & small coffee. & Ordered French Toast to go! This was my first time trying their hashbrowns...I'm sure I could have specified extra crispy. Overall great chilaquiles as others have stated crunchy & not soggy at all. The last I visited I had the beans & rice option instead of the hashbrowns. Overall great portions & very filling. All orders are cooked uoon ordering. Expect a bit of a delay if they are busy I would think. Breakfast is served All Day! As I enjoyed my meal around 530pm. Didn't have my phone sorry no pics this time around.Parking: Limited spots as it is a very small strip mall.Kid-friendliness: (3) 80s/90s stand-up arcade games.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible w/ own table set aside.

I'm constantly searching for spots like Centinela Cafe. Fairly inexpensive, lots of eats to choose from, and good service. While the location is cramped for parking, it's easy to see why this is the neighborhood joint. I ordered machaca with eggs. The portions were enormous and it included tortillas. Bottomless coffee and water cups up front. This is a no frills cafe and the food was good!

I've been coming to Centinela Cafe ever since I started attending the middle school that is nearby. I remember I used to skip eating lunch at school to only have a late lunch afterschool here. It's one of few mom and pop places that is still around from my childhood I still enjoy as an adult today. Honestly, their food is so good and freshly made to order. I always opt for either the chicken tacos, the carnitas plate, or the cheeseburger special. Their taquitos aren't bad either. The service is always top notch. The staff are always friendly and they have never made a mistake with my orders. The cafe itself looks like your typical 90's cafe. It has the red seats with the black tables and cream colored walls with the mini blinds. It screams nostalgia to me and takes me back to the 12 year old kid that walked in almost every Friday afternoon to have a late lunch with my friends. The price is affordable. A cheeseburger special runs about $12 including tax. And if you ask politely for a calendar, they will give one to you for free.

I thought the food was going to be better because of the price, but the important thing is the customer service and the young woman who took our order was not with the best attitude, she didn't even say a good morning or afternoon to us...
