Not every Chinatown express is the same y'all. The sweetest people and the best chow mein ever.

My orange chicken was not the best but the rest was great for the price and quantity, it did what it needed to do for $14. Good service and the ambiance is as good as a Chinese restaurant for takeout will get, could definitely use some restorations but it's a good little restaurant to stop by when the opportunity persists.

Chinatown really served my Chinese food craving on Christmas Day. The delivery was also super fast! When people say it's a fast food type of Chinese, I agree. I ordered the Orange Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, fried rice and Boba Thai Iced Tea. I would say the chicken was over cooked crunchy and the beef was pretty chewy, but it was still delicious. I'm happy with the food and the price. I'm giving 5-stars, it was exactly what I wanted and needed on Christmas Day

Amazing, authentic Chinese food at an affordable price. I have been looking for good, affordable party trays to bring to holiday parties this season and Chinatown Express has been the answer to all my prayers. On the outside, they seem like your average hot food bar style Chinese lunchbox joint but this is an absolute powerhouse of an establishment providing delicious, authentic Chinese food at a great price. I have ordered party trays several times in the past month and they never miss. I call in a day in advance (sometimes the day of) and they are able to whip up my order within minutes! They don't have a catering menu so you will have to call in for prices but they have small and large trays. The small trays are a lot more food than you think and range from $25-40 dollars depending on the dish. They do party trays for just about everything they have there: orange chicken, chow mein, potstickers, etc. I have gotten so many compliments on these party trays and have had the food myself. It is always delicious and piping hot. The orange chicken stayed crispy after several hours and the dumplings are always a favorite. The woman who runs the cashier and answers the phones deserves an award. I've heard her speak at least 3 different languages and think this place truly highlights the beauty and diversity of LA. Parking can be challenging in this small lot but you can park in the 7/11 spots.

I'll say 3.5 bc I feel bad leaving any biz less than 4 stars but I'm also gonna be real with ya This is what it is...cheap Chinese food. A+ for cheap prices, C- for everything else. You don't know what you don't know, and now I know.

This is the place to go to if you are in the area and looking for fast food Chinese food. Kim was amazing. We ordered lunch for our team and it was more than we could eat. Cool service. The ladies were super attentive and kind. Small trays of: Chow Mein, fried rice, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, kung pao chicken, and egg rolls. Came to about $200 and fed 15 people. Had more left over as well. Definitely recommend. Will be back. Cons: The siracha hot sauce needs to be the original one because the one they provide is not it.

You get a bunch of food. It’s better than the five star Chinese places in Beverly Hills. But that still is only good for four stars.

I have to admit this is one of the best of the fast food chinese places. They make their food fresh and the service is really good. One order of food can be split by two people, that's how much they give you. Can't beat it for the price.

I recently visited this fast food Chinese place, and I have to say, I was completely disappointed with the portion sizes they served. It was an absolute letdown. When I received my order, I couldn't help but notice that the portion of chicken I received was significantly smaller compared to other Chinese restaurants I've been to. It was nothing more than a meager portion that left me feeling unsatisfied and cheated. The lack of generosity in their servings is truly alarming. It almost felt like they were trying to cut corners and save on costs by skimping on the most crucial ingredient. I found this unacceptable, especially considering the price I paid for the meal.As someone who enjoys a hearty portion, I was left extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience. Fast food places should strive to deliver consistent portions and value for their customers, but this particular establishment clearly missed the mark. Moreover, the taste of the chicken itself was nothing extraordinary. It was bland and lacked flavor, leaving me craving more. With such minuscule portions, one would expect the food to at least be packed with flavor, but no such luck here.Overall, I cannot recommend this fast food Chinese place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. The lackluster portion size combined with the underwhelming taste simply does not live up to the standards set by other Chinese restaurants in the area. Save yourself the disappointment and opt for a different place that genuinely values its customers' satisfaction.

Ordered through Uber teriyaki chicken with half noodles half rice. The chicken was plain with no teriyaki sauce or flavor at all! Chicken had a slight taste of soap! It was more like all rice & 10 little noodles & to top it off rice was on the dry side. No utensils, No napkins & No flavor! Disappointed. $15 in to the trash & had to go hungry at work.
