I always come for the hot dogs here. I remember when they were 1.50Now they're 5 bucksThey uae to be 2.50 right before covidFmlAnyways they use boarshead hot dogs. The only other place that uses boarshead is cupids but they're in the valley.

I still can't bie e chronic is still around. I my parents have taken us their when we were kids our whole life now I have generations eating at chronic (aka:Johnnie). Everything on the menu is the best hamburbers... Chile cheese fries.... Hot dogs still just like I remember as a kid love this place.

The quality of the food is fine but today the two guys working and both very nice people, but they were handling the food and the cash from customers. One of them had a bag full of hot dogs and with his bare hands reached in and put them in a steamer. After that, he never washed his hands, just wiped them on his apron, and took cash from a customer, went to the register, gave the Customer change, and began making another order with his bare hands. Both of them obviously had no concern for personal hygiene. The place is landmark for all of us who grew up in East Los Angeles. It looks like a dump inside. I ate the fries but dumped the hotdog. Never gonna go back.

Been coming here since before I could reach the counter. There were a few years in-between ownership change that I stopped coming but it's been great like it was for years now! Great hotdogs, chili dogs, burgers, chili burgers and fries. Has and may forever be a hidden gem.
