This review is for Cliftons cafeteria in Los Angeles CA I last went in the 1980s with my parents ! They went on a date there in the 1950s we even sat at the same table they did all those years ago. It is ashamed it is closed ! I really enjoyed it I was taken there several times as a kid by my parents. It will forever be in my memory .
The food here is top of the line. These are chefs, not cooks. A must stop when in Los Angeles. Although a review mentioned thefts here I never had that happen to me nor anybody else I know that comes here because of the excellent security staff. Thefts can happen anywhere. Example, a couple I know was visiting the SaMo pier earlier this month and he had his wallet picked from his pocket. The lowlife thief was never caught nor was the wallet ever found.

The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, but I couldn't resist trying the classic comfort food options like the macaroni and cheese and the fried chicken. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. To top it off, the cocktails were expertly crafted and packed with flavor.
