Solid slice of cheese, crust was very good also. The very first time I got a pizza here, I was not that impressed because it was delivered and slightly cold already which made the pizza little soggy. I would reheat in a pan again for that extra crunch at the bottom. When you go there and grab a slice it's very good, perfectly reheated for you with a nice crunch.

The pizza here is elite. Great service and seriously some of the best pizza in all the land.

My buddy from NY who swears by their pies being the best recommended this place. So now I have to try an authentic New York style pizza. We needed a few so we ordered a margarita, a cheese and pepperoni and a meatball. The first thing that surprised me was the meatballs were flat...lol. Although flat, the meatball pizza was very good. The pepperoni had the smaller sized which curved when heated. The pizza along with the consistency of the dough and sauce was very good. And the margarita ? Ditto, a great thin crust NY style pizza. I'm glad I was able to try this pizza and will definitely be having it again. Minus one star for not experiencing the dining at the location but I intend to in the near future.

First time in the Wells Fargo food court and I am planning my next trip.Saw Danny boys pizza in a news segment and the pizza did not disappoint. I went for the mushroom with garlic topped offed with fresh basil. New York crust with a slight Crispiness- the added bonus was the slight pleasant after taste of the dough.Service was friendly, attentive and they were fast. It is a quick work lunch place and you can't go wrong with these prices. Worth a try if you work downtown.

What stops me from giving the spot a full 5 stars is two things: the pizza can be a little too salty and it can be on the expensive side. Theres no deals here at all. I can't see myself paying close to $40 for a pizza like that. I spent over $60 for two pizzas. For me there's no stand out break out reason for me to continue to do that. The pizza is good yes, but it's just overpriced. $20 for wings as well. That's a hard one to accept too. I've had the pizza three times, the second time was just a pizza by the slice and the third time my friend and I threw half n half and it just feels the prices keep getting higher and higher. Maybe it's the location being on bunker hill and they get all the people from the museum and the concert hall along with the hotels there. Sure you may get the out of towners and the people passing through but for myself as a local I'm looking for more.

Probably my favorite NY slice in LA. Dough is tasty & crust is airy & crisp ; I like the slight salinity to it. Sauce, cheese, and pepperoni are delicious as well.

I drove my wife to Koreatown for her facial. Afterwards, she asked where we can eat. I remembered Danny Boy's Pizza in DTLA. I called and found out they validate parking. The GPS was confused where I wanted to go. I looked the map and determined it was in the Wells Fargo building. I parked underground and went to the first floor. Just around the corner of the elevator was Danny Boy's Pizza with the green neon sign. I looked through the glass window and saw different pizza just like the corner neighborhood pizza joints in NYC. I ordered the traditional slice of pepperoni for my wife and white shrooms for me. They heated up the pizza and they were ready in 5 minutes. Danny Boy's pizza is the real deal. It taste like a slice of pie I would get anywhere in NYC. Thin slice with a chewy crust. The white shrooms is like no other slice of pie that I've tasted. It had the mushroom taste. I can give it only a 4+ rating because I haven't tasted their pies straight out of the oven. I'll bet it would be twice as good. Time to plan for my next trip to DTLA to order a fresh pie. DJ's rating 4.15/5.00. Would I come back? Yes.

The meatball sub is so good! Very heavy and def possible to go splitsies with a friend if you need to stay awake after lunch. I have also had the pizza and it was tasty! It's located in the Wells Fargo food court which can be a bit busy during the lunch rush, so I'd recommend ordering ahead if you're within walking distance.

One of the top pizza spots in LA! You cannot go wrong with a classic cheese pie and a pep pie. This was my second time coming in and both times the quality of pizza was consistent and delicious, tasted just like NY pizza. The first time I ordered at the counter and it took about 15 min - it was a Saturday and not many people there. This time around I ordered online on my way there and they gave me a 15-20 min time frame so I ordered when I was 15 min out and only waited 5 min. If you don't want to eat there (they have a nice, clean eating area) I recommend pulling up to the back of the building and waiting in the loading zone while your passenger picks up the pizza. Easier than parking, but they do validate!

Pizza is not my thing, but this was great. The beautiful Wells Fargo building plaza is slowly working on a food court of which this is a part. The staff at the order up counter is super friendly, and the building keeps the eating area clean. I was SO pleased that they had a gluten free option (only one but it was also vegetarian so it covers the bases). I ordered the GF Sicilian while my LO ordered a piece of pepperoni and then we shared a side salad while she enjoyed the lemonade. YUM! The spongy foccacia like Sicilian pizza square was topped with tomato, cheese and basil. It even had a nice crunch at the edges similar to Detroit style. The generous side salad had a tangy vinaigrette with lots of chopped veggies and chickpeas. It was a very generous lunch for under $23 (before tip). I will definitely be back, as it is hard to find a modestly priced lunch around here on the weekend.

I follow a lot of pizza pages on Instagram, it all started by following Mark Iacono from Lucali and from there I've started following people that he recommends, and that the people he recommends recommend. The unfortunate part of this is that I live in SoCal and all of those pizza spots end up being in NYC, at least that was until Danny Boy's popped up on my page, and after being sure I was following another amazing NYC pizza joint I was surprised to see than this man was taking a chance on started up a NYC style spot in LA. I live about 70 miles from DTLA, and it isn't always the most pleasant drive, but I decided I had to make the trip out there, and it was absolutely worth every second of traffic to get there. First of all I was blessed by getting to meet the man himself when I walked up, I said I wanted to try a couple of slices of whatever they recommend and Danny walked me right over to where the slices were and informed me the best slice they had that day was a BBQ chicken and he had just eaten the last one himself, haha. I decided to try a Sicilian pepperoni square, and a meatball slice. The staff was absolutely on point, immediately hopping on it and tossing the slices in the oven. I took a few steps back to just watch this well oiled machine work, and Danny came out and watched with me as he was about to head out. We talked for a couple of minutes and then he left me to try my slices. This location is perfect, because it feels like a little corner shop, but it's inside the Wells Fargo Center with a lot of seating just outside of it. It's a super chill spot to get a slice. My slices came out within a few minutes and were perfectly hot and crispy and just absolutely bursting the flavor. The ingredients were clearly fresh and the quality of the pizza absolutely benefited from that. I can't wait to bring my wife out to try it because I know she's absolutely going to fall in love with it to. I can't begin to recommend Danny Boy's in a way that will do it true justice. If you get a chance you absolutely need to get out here and give it a try. You won't regret it.

As an experienced chef with five years of industry experience, I was deeply disappointed with the quality of pizza served at Danny Boy's Pizza. The pizza lacked adequate toppings and was mostly comprised of bread, resulting in a dish that appeared haphazardly prepared and subpar in quality. Given the premium price of $37, I expected to receive a pizza with generous toppings, but this was not the case. There are several other pizza places in downtown LA that offer superior quality and quantity at a more reasonable price point. I hold no ill will towards the Chef, as I understand the challenges of working in a restaurant setting, but I must express my frustration with the restaurant's upper management and creator. In my professional opinion, New York-style pizza is overrated and lacking in substance. I cannot recommend this establishment.

I have tried to eat here several times, but the location is pretty tucked away. Today I finally got to experience the real deal! Dank pizza, w a beautiful spot, and a really kind and friendly team, what more could you ask for? I take pizza pretty serious and I def approve. Their dough is obviously what makes the business. And the business for me was the fresh mozzarella slice. And it tastes as good as it looks. You can tell the consistency is there through all the pics in reviews. Highly recommend, I’ll be back soon for sure!

Happened upon this place while walking around in between my Music Center events. The $4 cheese slice was perfectly baked: thin, soft almost croissant-like crust with a generous cheese topping (it doesn't look like it in the photo but trust me there's a lot of cheese!)Would definitely come back.
