Went here based on the reviews because I prefer the flavor of real donuts compared to the little Krispy ones. First off, my cinnamon roll was excellent. However, there were absolutely no bars i.e., chocolate, maple, nor were there any buttermilks. I was there before 9a on a Saturday! I would understand if it was after 10 but the selection seemed scant. Oh and for those babies crying about cash only, grow up and carry a $20 like a grown up! Overall a good donut but they need to avoid going bare minimum.

My FAVORITE donut shop! I have lived around the corner from this place, since before it opened. Three generations, my Mom (rip), myself and my children. She always has a smile for me, always asks about my children, and even though it's been 15 years, she still talks about my mom and how she brought my son there nearly everyday as a toddler, then my daughter. PRICES ARE EXTREMELY REASONABLE, and the donuts are delicious. Sandwiches also, especially the ham and cheese croissant. Quite busy on weekday early mornings

Very dingy atmosphere...lacking the general cleanliness of your average donut shop. ONLY ACCEPTS CASH, something I'm always suspicious about. The presentation of donuts was poor. I left empty-handed.

The couple behind the counter was very kind! And I had a hangover-reversing bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich what was delish and three doughnuts with my coffee for good measure. A good neighborhood spot, will go back.
Best donut shop in all of LA!Forget that designer donut nonsense- this family run shop has it all. I stopped by on a whim to get my little boys a treat, and was shocked at the quality of the offerings. I got a delicious pineapple/celery juice, and half a dozen donuts. As other reviewers have stated, I didn't notice that they tossed in at least a dozen free donut holes. Lovely family run business with delicious products. We plan to go back to try the sandwiches and apple fritter. Don't sleep on this spot!

I have lived in this part of Los Angeles my entire life and I have passed this donut shop countless times without giving it a second though. Today, I realized what a mistake this has been. The donuts are among the best donuts in the entire city, and if you know LA, you know that this is an incredibly high compliment! I would easily rank these donuts among some of the other famous donut shops in the are like SK Donuts, DK Donuts, and Donut Man. Honestly? SK Donuts had always been my favorite but these Darling Donuts might just be the best I've ever had!The owner is also an incredibly kind woman. The shop was a little slow so I struck up a conversation with her and we ended up having a nice little chat for a few minutes. She threw in a few delicious donut holes to my order for no extra cost! Shops like this are dying out, so it's more important than ever that we support these establishments. It's a very old school shop and it only accepts cash, but I promise you that the donuts are fantastic and more than make up for that.

I drive past several Donut Shops to come here. Very good donuts! My wife and kids like the Apple Fritters, Chocolate Long John for me. Price point is excellent, compared to SK Donuts, it's worth me driving the extra distance.
