The sevice is great. However, the front staff is a bit pretentious.Food is very average for the price. The biggest negative is that they charge for a refill of ice tea! This is reason alone for never returning!

I have mixed feelings, mainly due to the fact that I heard a lot about this place and how good the food is. Yes, some of the dishes were good but some weren't. Some of the dumplings and bao buns lacked seasoning, so it was super bland. My overall rating (6.5/10)Service (9/10)Food (6.5/10)Waiting Duration (7/10) -- higher due to seating at the bar.Noise (6/10) -- If you go at peak time it is really noisyFor the price (8/10) -- yes, a little bit expensive but you do get a lotMAKE A RESERVATION OR BE PREPARED TO WAIT. If you don't make a reservation and you aren't willing to sit at the bar, you will be waiting for about 2 hours [for the bar it can only be 2-3 people over the age of 21]. Also, if you are seated at the bar, you cannot leave the restaurant because it is 'first come first serve'.The soup dumplings were kind of a let down, they were too gummy and lacked flavour. But the spicy wontons were AMAZING. Also, the beans were fantastic.

ServiceI was so impressed by the staff. Over multiple visits, consistently the team is so knowledgeable about their menu (ingredients, preparation, avoiding cross-contact) and is so attentive and kind. I want to particularly acknowledge Paul (manager), Matt, and Landry for excellence in service. I was struck by how well prepared the team is.FacilityThe restaurant itself is very sleek and beautiful. There was a long wait for a table, but it was well worth it. The restaurant has a nice system of texting you when the table is ready so that you can explore the mall while you wait. There were many private booths, and also large tables. I also saw a private room in the corner.FoodOf course they have their famous dishes but I also want to highlight some of their other dishes that we particularly enjoyed:- Tofu noodle salad (fresh and tasty appetizer)- Taiwanese cabbage (light and flavorful)- Boba milk tea (not too sweet at all, more black tea forward)

Food is great, like always. The lower rating is for this particular location. We walked up, and put our names down. 1.5 hour wait, which is fine I guess because we just walked around. We received text that the table was ready. Half our group was closer than the other half, and got there first. They are unable to check you in for your table until your whole group is present. The mall is huge so it took a few minutes for the other half of the group to catch up. Then even after being checked in, it took still another 20 minutes standing by the entrance waiting to actually get seated at a table. So take it for what it is- good food but unreasonable expectations for waiting. Personally I do not have the patience and think their dumplings, (although good) are not worth that long of a wait. Also I forgot how tiny the dumplings are. The skins are rolled soo thin though, it’s hard to replicate that. Overall l will not return to this location.

Insane amount of wait times for walk-ins. They say 1-1.5 hrs but eventually we waited for 2.5 hrs. The wait time estimation and automated msgs really needs some work so guests get a real time picture and can decide whether to wait that long or not. In anticipation of getting a table, we ended up waiting so long and escalated the situation to Paul (their manager). He was very kind and helpful to find us a way, but I understand he cant skip the queue for us but still he tried hard and got us a table eventually after all that wait. Appreciate his help! The food tastes different than Asia for sure!

This is the U.S. Din Tai Fung restaurant we frequent the most, and have been fans of the restaurant starting with the original one in Arcadia. Lots of great food options but you can never go wrong with the xiaolongbao! We like going when there is a minimal wait, particularly during weekdays for lunch. It also has a small semi-private room in the back near the bathrooms. If you get the chocolate xiaolongbao, definitely get the extra side of cream!

Coming here for the second time, the food is definitely above average, and the service is nice and friendly. However, I had one of the worst waiting experiences; no one informed me while waiting in line, and I had to call for help a couple of times for updates. I was hoping it would be different the second time, but unfortunately, it was the same situation as the first time. I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Food was good. Was expecting more, I think because of all the hype. But it turned out to be just good. Nothing fancy or great about it. Service was excellent.

I wish I lived closer to a Din Tai Fung location. I am seriously addicted to their shrimp and pork Shao Mai.

I often eat Din Tai Fung and have wonderful memories. But this time five people went for lunch (three adults/two kids)In the afternoon, three adults had diarrhea (and were bloated and bloated), but the children were fine.Only the adults ate the cold dishes, so there may be something wrong with the cold dishes?
