If you want to experience the street food of manila without flying to manila, this is the spot! They have almost everything here that u can find from manila street food, its like KBBQ but Pinoy street version. Only part I hate coming to eat here is the parking, so you better be good at parking your car coz the parking lot is tiny and you guna have to find a spot somewhere to park your car. And if you're high blood, better make sure you got your statin and garlic ready coz all the food here are high cholesterol.

$1.50 skewers! What more is there to say? Featured on Netflix but definitely not all hype. You have to grill the skewers yourself but that's half the fun! Bring some friends and make it a party!

Dollar Hits is a delightful culinary gem for anyone longing for an authentic taste of Filipino street food. Located in Los Angeles, this unassuming spot captures the essence of the vibrant street food culture found in the Philippines, offering an immersive and nostalgic dining experience. The standout feature of Dollar Hits is its DIY grilling concept. Patrons select their skewers from a tantalizing array of choices, including traditional Filipino favorites like pork barbecue, chicken intestines (isaw), pork blood (betamax), fish balls, and more. The excitement builds as you grill your selections over a charcoal pit, just as it’s done on the streets of the Philippines. This interactive aspect not only adds to the authenticity but also allows you to customize the doneness of your skewers to your liking. The flavors are spot on, evoking memories of the bustling food stalls back home. The marinades are rich and savory, perfectly capturing the sweet, smoky, and slightly tangy notes characteristic of Filipino street food. The variety ensures there’s something for everyone, whether you’re adventurous or prefer sticking to more familiar tastes. The atmosphere at Dollar Hits is vibrant and communal, much like the street markets. It’s a fantastic place to gather with friends or family, share stories, and enjoy a casual, hearty meal. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe, often providing tips on grilling techniques and ensuring everyone has a great time. However, there are a few downsides to keep in mind. Parking can be scarce, which might require a bit of patience and a willingness to walk a short distance. Additionally, the popularity of Dollar Hits means that tables for dining in can be hard to come by, especially during peak hours. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience remains highly rewarding.Overall, Dollar Hits is a must-visit for anyone craving a slice of Filipino street culture. It offers not just food, but an experience that transports you back to the bustling streets of the Philippines, filled with laughter, delicious aromas, and the sizzle of skewers on the grill. Whether you’re a Filipino expatriate or simply a food enthusiast, Dollar Hits promises a delightful and memorable culinary adventure.

Yes I still smell like BBQ and yes it was worth it.50% of the items were less than desirable cuts of meats and we were left wanting more vegetable skewer options. Overall we would return for the lumpia and chicken bbq skewers. Get the cucumber lime juice!

Authentic Filipino ‘Ihaw sa Kanto’ (street food). Parking can be a bit difficult, and limited sitting capacity but it will all be worth it. They sell everything from Ihaw to Balut, some Filipino dishes (combo meals run everyday until 2pm), desserts, and various snacks.Parking: Limited slot for free parking so prepare to wait or look around the street.

BBQ Skewers are only available at night. We wasted an Uber coming here to get some in the afternoon. Really disappointed we couldn’t try the skewers.

What a gem. Parking was a bit difficult but worth it. It was our first time and definitely going back! Beware you will smell a bit like a grill master again it adds to the atmosphere and the experience. Had the cucumber lime drink. Not too sweet and very refreshing. Had a sweet coconut dessert at the end by the cash register which I can't wait to get again! It was like a coconut rice ball in a lightly fried batter, coated with honey, which was delicious.

I had been wanting to try this place after I saw it on a food special but sadly my family and I were disappointed. Everything was cold. I really wanted to like it but I just couldn't get past the cold food. I also didn't know you had to come after 4:30 to get the skewers.

We had BBQ pork, chicken skewer, pork skewer, rice, tilapia. All were cold, dry, flavorless, over cooked. It was like nasty leftovers. Really unfortunate as we were looking forward to trying this place out. Had to dump it all couldnt take more than a few bites. Good cucumber lime drink tho. Would not recommend.
