Always love coming to Doomies when I am in LA. This is is one of my top fast food style eateries as a vegan. Everything I have had from here has just been so delicious and a treat to eat. I don't think I've had their desserts yet, but they are so massive I may not end my quick trip here without trying a slice.I had the pulled pork for the first time, and I was so glad to see 'not jackfruit', I had to try. Delicious!!Wife had the burger and she loved it as well. Cheese fries and a drink from the freestyle machine sets it all off!
As a meat eater, I can honestly say that my spicy chicken sandwich was better than most regular chicken sandwiches. My vegetarian gf, who usually dislikes veg food that attempts to mimic meat flavors, enjoyed it as well. She thought the cheese fries tasted "too meaty", likely due to the slightly smoky flavor. While I thought the fries were great, I couldn't eat very many of them. The portions are HUGE.
I’m not sure what’s going on in the kitchen here but the quality has gone down . I received a poorly packaged meal(no container just plastic back and paper ) with a fried napkin wrapped in my 2 piece chicken meal . Also , the fries were coked in old oil . . This is horrid and completely

there is nothing better in life than walking into this crusty little store at 10pm and eating a plate of chicken over a table decorated with lisa frank pictures.doomies can and will cure any heartbreak, hangover or bad day. I went on a Saturday night it wasn't crowded and the workers acted really terrible no customer service skills at all Hopefully that changes Cause I liked my Food ..... Might do the trick if you’re drunk. Between the fluorescent lights, broken ceiling tiles, disgusting bathrooms, and 0 presence of any form of service (everything is ordered on a poorly designed tablet app) stepping foot in here immediately resulted in a loss of appetite. It’s drafty and freezing inside, one song playing at a time and then 5 minutes of silence. Table seating is cramped, uncomfortable, drafty, with weird cork coating seats that make it impossible to slide in or off. This place genuinely felt like a stock room of a truck stop. I honestly can not imagine a worse scenario to try and ingest foodSide fries tasted like old fried oils and looked like they were covered in some sort of dirty batter. The animal fries (which were soggy the second they were made) and whatever house sauces they had on them was sour to the point of tasting spoiled. Pulled pork burger was thin, lifeless, and underwhelming. Fried chicken was also underwhelming, too greasy, and old tasting.Also if you have anything you need a fork to eat- forget it because whatever plastic cutlery they use is extremely thin and the fork teeth wouldn’t even pick up any of the loaded fries.With all the great vegan fast food in this city, I genuinely do not understand the rave reviews
The food here is pretty good. It's vegan food open late in Hollywood is it's great if you want drunk food or otherwise a late night bite. I do feel there are better vegan sandwiches I've had but the food here was satisfying and the prices were normal. The inside leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to decor but it does the job. Food can be slow when busy.
