Do you want the best Italian sandwich in LA? Well guess what?! You have found it. You will not be disappointed. There is literally no way to feel sad while eating one of these sandwiches. I put Sandwich Day into my calendar and look forward to it like I'm going on vacation. This is also the greatest cross section of Angelenos in one space. The dorky, the svelte, blue collar, white collar, guys in suits who are definitely committing some sort of financial fraud and the police who will someday arrest them. It's a family owned business with kind, hardworking folks behind the counter. Go. Eat. And have the best day ever!

Great tasting sandwiches, can't go wrong with menu selection. Hit this spot up before any game and you'll be set.

Finally tried this place but street parking is tough on a Saturday due to the flea market across the street so got dropped off and unfortunately ordered take out?Wasnt dissapointed with the sandwiches, ordered the #7 Pastrami and roast beef sandwich and ended up going to Grand Central Market to eat there. Unfortunately i shpuld have asked for napkins or grabbed some since opening the sandwich up it was a bit messy.... None was provided... Live and learn. Would go again to dine in if in the area.Parking: Thrres a flea market across from the restaurant so finding parking is a bit tough...

I've been a customer for over 30 years. I've taken family, friends & coworkers and everyone has always been more than satisfied with everything the owner (Johnny)whom I missed my last visit is old school. Polite, approachable. Looks you in the eye with a firm handshake as he cleans and looks after his patrons and food quality. His sons are the same but with a bit more humor. The only draw back is I wish the stayed open longer during Dodger season or home stands. Other than that a BIG THANK YOU to all the employee’s and owners.

Truth be told. When you walk into a spot and see 20 cops slamming meat ball sandwiches, you know you are in the right place.

Ordered the "Hot" Pastrami. Was barely warm. Italian cold cut sandwich was good. Otherwise everything was very good. Tried to go 2 weeks ago on a Saturday, but something was going on across the street and no parking was available anywhere near the Deli. Ended up going to Philippe's for a French Dip. Long drive from Rancho Cucamonga, totally worth it!

Been eating here for over a decade and it's one of LA's best establishments. Stays true to itself over time providing great sandwiches that pack a lot of meat and flavor. You'll often see more larger folks here including police and fire department as the large sandwiches truly fill big appetites. I personally love the pastrami sandwich and make sure to get the chilis on the side! On Tuesday and Thursdays they have pasta specials which are also great including the lasagna and meatball specials. Lastly, make sure you get a cannoli to finish off your meal as they make the best cannoli I've ever had, and that includes Italy! Service is good, just expect to have your order ready and be ready. They strive on efficiency and completing everyone's orders timely. Restaurant is always clean and accommodating. Can enjoy your meal in restaurant with plenty of seating or take it to go. Can get busy during lunch and dodger games. Hope to continue eating here for many more decades to come!

Been coming here over 20 plus years. I have moved to the Valley and with all the new sandwich places, This is still the first to come to mind when I'm in LA. The guys that own the spot are cool fellows and they work hard. But The prices are perversely cringe worthy now. My favorite sandwich, #7 is now basically $20 bucks and that's just for the sandwich. 3 stars due to price. Which for the way my bank account is set up, is a sad no. With gas being a billion dollars a gallon, its just not financially prudent to drive all the way downtown for a sandwich. A great sandwich but If I'm not getting anything more for my $20 bucks. I must pass even though I don't want to. I now have to be concerned with stretching the almighty dolla dolla bill. Unfortunately this seems to be a thing where I have to stop eating out at all the places I love due to price hikes. In a quick minute I'm going to stop eating our period and cook everything from home. My sandwich wont be nothing like yours but I'll be full. Thanks for the great sandwiches brothers. keep making one of the best sandwiches in Los Angeles.
