Thanks for your reply. As a customer, I have every right to talk about different aspects of your shop, including the service. I won't change my review for now because I haven't received an apology.Just citing what you mentioned: "We suspect this to be a fake review or one person/group posting multiple reviews. All of the reviews never talk about the food and look personal with either our restaurant or someone on our staff."Now that you accuse me of writing a fake review, can you confirm that you have an employee that fits my description? I must have dined in to know that you have such an employee. This is a mistake that you are making repeatedly, to many customers- not just me. I hope you treat this as an opportunity to improve, serve better and earn a higher review :)-Will email with more details.-Original review:The young waitress with big eyes is disrespectful and ignores female customers. I suspect that they were all trained to serve male guests first. I wouldn’t want to dine here againP.S. It’s awkward the shop claims to be a woman owned business and yet customers have to email her son. After all, we just wanted the respect that we deserve. Please apologize for the inappropriate behavior of your employee and train the staff to respect females.

The food was incredible! And I loved that everyone there was dressed with authentic Japanese outfits. I tried several things from their vegan menu and everything was delicious! I highly recommend it.

I guess this place is new and not many people know yet. The food, service and environment are all great. My wife and I celebrated her birthday and had a wonderful night with very good food. By the way, they serve the Asahi draft beer correctly.

Bad service, only serve my male friend and ignore me (female). Don’t go to this place if you want respect, especially for women.

Thank you to all the staff that serviced our table! You were all excellent and accommodating to our needs. It was my husband's birthday and I requested a strawberry dessert if feasible and they were able to deliver!

The service at this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, especially for female guests. Staff seem to direct their attention and explanations predominantly towards male customers, even going as far as serving certain dishes exclusively to them. In an instance where a female guest mentioned she hadn't received a dish she ordered, the waiter's response was astonishing. Instead of addressing her concern, he asked the man sitting next to her if he'd like another serving of it. This behavior is not only appalling but also hints at underlying gender bias. A better approach would be to ensure the excellence of their food and equal treatment of all customers.

Absolutely amazing family behind this restaurant. Humble, experimental, warm, and great service.

Went there for their kaseiki shabu shabu. The inside is spacious with a minimalistic japonese decor. All the staffs are extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered the seafood and ribeye shabu shabu. The quality of the seafood and meat was very fresh and plentiful. It starts with appetizers follow by soup and the the main course. Then they cook porridge with the soup from the shabu shabu, and end with a delicious dessert. Will definitely return to try their kaseiki next time. Parking is conveniently across the street public parking. Enjoy.

Reasonable price for okay food. Nothing amazing. Entry level sushi omakase. Place is clean and spacious. Service seems okay but not the best.

Already entering this restaurant we were blown away by the gorgeous design and ambiance. It has a very authentic japanese Aesthetic , very elegant! We ordered the Seafood Shabushabu which included super fresh Sashimi and other Kaiseki appetizers. The presentation is absolutely stunning and Everything so fresh. The owner Tomoko was sitting with us for a while and showing us the sequencing for the Hot Pot. The portions are very generous and you are not going to leave hungry. The service is very attentive and beautifully dressed in Kimono.Everything about this restaurant is flawless and the food so delicious. If I could give more stars I would! Eigikutei deserves all the Accolades Monika and Joe Lanzisero

Been here twice it’s located in the heart of little Tokyo on 1st street. The food and service is incredible! The restaurant is gorgeous, simple minimalist Japanese. Both times we’ve ordered the Yosenabe Kaiseki course. It’s really delicious and there’s many courses. Everything is presented beautifully. Our meal started off with 3 appetizers, sashimi, chawanmushi (so silky), soup and the basket full of seafood. It also came with a side of udon & porridge. Followed by dessert and tea. Everything so good! And so much food! We’ve also been to their bar on a couple of occasions & they have an extensive sake list. They even have sparkling sake! My new favorite. They also have a great bar food menu. Highly recommend this gem.The owner Tomoko is lovely <3

Came for the SHABU (so can't really speak on the sushi) and there were a lot of courses to get through - of course all depends on which set you get. I would recommend grabbing the set with the sashimi since why the fuck not? And it is a nice preview into their sushi bar - which I know is tempting - but keep the SHABU and SUSHI meals separate (not really a part of my review but a good life practice.) Save room for the rice porridge and dessert when ordering the SHABU. I think the table next to us thought they charged extra for that shit, but whateva. Anyhow, back to the shabu...did one red meat and one seafood. Both were good but if I were to choose one I would choose the seafood. Unless you don't know how to properly eat crab legs. I'd say it is relatively quiet inside, sprinkled laughter and conversation & the wandering robot is a nice Japanese touch. I was impressed with it all. It is $$$, not stupendously priced, but also not your run of the mill AYCE shabu - so might as well tack on some sake to your bill. Hate to mention "The Restaurant Formerly Known as KaGaYa" as it is like mentioning an ex but it definitely had that vibe but a larger space + liquor (but get some sake).
