The best place to eat in downtown Los Angeles is behind the court. I will patronize over and over again. Good food, and good cleaning habits and hygiene. Their Roasted Beef sandwich was excellent, Thumbs up Garo’s Deli…..

This is officially my new favorite sandwich spot in DTLA. Tucked inside the St. Vincent alley (which itself is something special for a later review), you'll find a deli market with a nice assortment of Armenian treats and friendly staff who actually helped me pick out my first two items: the house pastrami sandwich and my personal favorite, the Soujouk sandwich. Get this! The Soujouk sandwich is made with this fantastic Armenian sausage, cheese, and tomato on a perfectly toasted French roll that had the right amount of crunchy and fluffy bite. Five out of five stars for this little gem.

A friend of mine brought me here. I live so close and regret not coming here sooner. Their daily special with Shish Kebab was excellent. Can't wait to bring more friends for a quick lunch. They have seating with Cafe tables hidden in the back.

Garos came highly recommended to me from my boss at the network I work for. Turns out it was only a light walk away from my house and it was worth every step! The service was immaculate and they were more than happy to give recommendations and explain to my girl and I all of the different items on the menu. Food came out fast and was worth the wait. Everything was fresh, homemade and very high quality. From the little crunches of the peppers they give or the nuanced tastes of the meat I've never heard of before walking in. Also the local sodas they have from back home hit different with the sandwiches and is a must have when coming in. You've made repeat customers out of us for sure.

Everything was good but small portion for the sandwich.

Cute deli and market will lots of middle eastern products that are hard to find elsewhere. I wanted to give them 5 stars but finally got a sandwich today and the baguette bread was rock hard and stale. Cut up the roof of my mouth and bread crumbled everywhere. Hard to justify spending 15$ for a sandwich when the bread isn't fresh

We ordered ahead of time. They are located in downtown LA. They are in an ally. I pulled into the ally to pick up our food. There was a car parked illegally. I could not drive up to the front. One of the staff was kind to come out and take my payment and give me our order. We had 2 sandwiches. One was turkey and the other mortadella. We have had a lot of sandwiches. These were plain. Nothing spectacular. The bread was good. We felt it was too much effort to drive downtown and deal with the parking. I do want to stress that the staff was very nice.

I came into this place randomly. I have bee exploring the courtyard. I ordered a roast beef sandwich. I was given my options. While I was waiting for my order I was met by the owner. We chatted a bit and he gave a quick synopsis of the history. I recall visiting the courtyard in the early 80's with the family. I was shortly met with my sandwich, it was served with a few peppers. These added spice ans acidity. The sandwich itself has plenty of meat and plenty of flavor wrapped in a fluffy loaf. They plenty of offerings if you look at the menu. I wanted to keep it light due to the sweltering heat.

Get the hot sandwiches!! They're packed with flavor and the crunch from the baguette is chef's kiss. The bread part of the baguette was carved out so the sandwich wasn't as heavy. I was really able to appreciate the flavors of the filling. I got the iconic pastrami sandwich which they generously filled with meat. If you want something refreshing, I would order this since this one had both lettuce and tomatoes. If you want something different, I'd highly recommend the soujouk sandwich. It has thin slices of spiced sausage that gives the sandwich so much flavor. If you're indecisive like me, I'm making the choice for you. This sandwich is a must-try because it's not something you can get at a typical deli.

Very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. They offered us a complimentary beverage while we waited for our food. Everything was delicious, the sandwiches are perfectly proportioned to compliment each ingredient, and the bread was toasted perfectly.
