The owner is such a gem! He presented us such a beautiful plate of food and so delicious. If you want to skip all the crazies, come at opening at 12pm. You will literally get your food within 15 minutes. My only concern is I wish he had an another shop in East Coast Definitely must try if you are visiting LA ❤️
This tiny shop is everything you want it to be. Fantastic chicken. We got the director’s cut with soy garlic, spicy barbecue and plain — and all three were great. I don’t know how Director Gol Tong manages to cook, run the cash register and bus tables all by himself but the service is fast and friendly. Director Gol Tong’s chicken is so delicious! He makes the atmosphere so welcoming and fun! We ordered the director’s cut edition and the fruit was so sweet and refreshing to eat along with it. Will definitely come back the next time we’re in the LA area.

Mr Gol Tong works here all alone and the Chicken tastes amazing. $30 gets you a meal for 2 people.
A spot I am now beholden to. Every time I’m in LA a stop at GolTong is a must. Simply the best. The sauce feels fresh and fruity and the garlic chicken is amamzinh in their yellow sauce. Perfection ??
